"You know the Jedi?" Cal queried, but the droid paid no mind and ran up to a rusting console.

The droid approached an old device, you and Cal would have had to find a new way around the drop-off if it wasn't for the little droid. "Did you just slice that?" Cal asked the small droid before thanking it.

"Sweet," You remarked as BD-1 went to the top of the next cliff.

Now alone, you glanced back at Cal, "So we're just following him?"

Cal simply shrugged, "He sliced that console for us. I think he's our best option right now."

You hummed, starting to walk to the cliff face. You gripped one of the vines firmly and gave it a good tug. "He wasn't leading us to our doom with faulty vines." Your eyes flicked back to Cal's, "Good in my book so far."

"Then I guess we're following."

You readjusted your grip on the vines and pressed your foot onto the cliff face.

BD-1 was patiently waiting at the top of the cliff, and let out a few excited whirs as you joined him. The droid pointed to the horizon and there it was in all its golden hour glory.

"That's the Vault Cere mentioned," Cal spoke up. "Whoever we're supposed to find must be waiting there." The teen was set off before you or BD-1 could say otherwise.

Which, the droid actually ended up doing. He beeped at Cal, causing the male to pause.

"What do you mean? Where else are we supposed to go?" He squinted at the sunny area before responding, "I don't see any other way," Cal told the droid.

BD-1 shrugged, well it looked like a shrug. You took the droid's side.

"He's probably right though. I mean, he's been here longer than we have."

Cal tilted his head, an empty look in his eyes. "That's a good point... But I'd like to check anyways."

Cal kept walking, albeit with less intent as now he was simply scouting out the area.

You followed, not wanting to become separated in case the fauna decided one of you looked delicious.

Cal sighed as he came across an empty area. There was an almost bowl-shaped indention in the ground, and on one side was an opening into the canyon. The walls were close together, easily within jumping distance. The ridged walls grasped for your gaze. Upon inspection, a heaviness settled in your stomach. You couldn't help feeling like you should know something, but it wasn't quite clear.

"There's no way through here. Guess that's why BD-1 warned me," Cal lifted his shoulders as he looked around.

BD-1 took the opportunity to speak up, a series of sassy beeps filled the silence followed by a snort from you.

Cal held his hands up in defense, "Okay okay- maybe I'll listen to you next time."

BD-1 let out another string of sounds, but when you turned to look, the droid took off.

"Hey- You can't just do that without saying anything." you called after the droid.

BD-1 lead you to another cliff, but this one was connected to the other side with a pipe. The other side of the pipe ran into a cave.

"Nice," you praised the droid.

Cal gave BD-1 a smile before making his way onto the pipe. The droid was already halfway there.

"Be careful over there! It doesn't look safe!" Cal called out to the BD unit, "Just like back at the scrapyard."

You chuckled as you remembered following Cal through the scrapyard. Relying mostly on the male's sense of direction on Bracca was a bit stress-inducing. Fun though.
