Davina's POV

With new found confidence, I walked through the large doors, and headed to the elevator. As it rose closer and close to where I knew Cole was, I made a vow to myself. No matter what I saw, I would save that anger for the battlefield. Keep you cool.

The doors opened. The sight in front of me was wild. There were people dancing, base booming through speakers, lights low enough to see people but to conceal anything you'd rather keep secret. Drinks were already being thrust into our arms as more corks were popped. I took a sip of the bubbling liquid and grimaced slightly. I could taste the bitter twang of alcohol, but it was a fraction of the strength of our home brewed drinks.

"This is shit," River said dimly, looking into his drink and quickly whipped out a hip flask from my jacket pocket.

"You clever bastard," Sierra said, grabbing some for herself.

"Share?" I whined, pushing my glass in their face. They both laughed pouring some into my drink.

That hits the spot.

We walked deeper into the crowd, moving to the music. I couldn't help searching the crowd for those familiar eyes.

No. Stop it.

I grabbed Sierra, and soon the feeling of the music took over, and our bodies moved to it easily. We heard several whistles and couldn't help laughing. River passed the flask around again, and I enjoyed the light headed feeling of bliss.

Further from the crowd I noticed a pair of eyes I recognised. Levi. And wherever Levi is, the others are sure to be close by.

I heard Enzo's laugh before I saw him. He was standing with a couple of girls, looking very comfortable. I could feel the hate radiating off Sierra, and gave her a warning glance. She simply smirked at me and strode towards them.

What the hell was she doing?

I saw Enzo's eyes lock with hers.

Yeah, you should feel scared.

Just as she got close, she turned and grabbed the nearest guy and began to dance. I had to clench my face to stop myself giggling at the sight of Enzo's face as she grinned against this boy. It was priceless. Within seconds Enzo had deserted his girls and was desperately trying to get her attention like some lost puppy.

That boy.

As Enzo and Sierra moved to the side, I saw him.

Cole.

He was lounged on a plush red sofa, with a girl snuggle in on either side, one whom he was kissing, and the other clearly waiting for her turn. In his dark, fitted suit, he looked incredible. Every part of my body was on fire. I didn't want to admit, but I felt like I'd been kicked in the teeth, and it took all my self control not to hit him. Almost as if he heard me, he suddenly broke the kiss between the girl and met my eyes. It was like everything else stopped. There was only me and him/ As much as I wanted to stay like this, I wrenched my eyes from his and walked away. Seeing River, I marched over, quickly taking a gulp from his flask.

"You okay?" He asked, concerned.

"Yeah," I muttered, enjoying the warmth in the back of my throat.
