Ok really quick intro!

This book is kinda like a one-shot between my OC and my friends OC, It's a full book but if either of us decides to publish the other stuff idk, just know it's not cannon.

Some of you know I'm not use to writing, I prefer drawing. I want to give a huge thanks to my close friend branch423 for helping me write this.

We got together over the internet to write this with each other and wanted to share it with y'all.

Hope you guys like it! (we will be updating it either way lol)

Emma woke up with a start. Where was she? She didn't recognize anything around her, not that she would in the first place. The last thing she remembered was going into a forest and, well, she wasn't in a forest anymore. Instead, she was in a dark cave. Bats squeaked around her as she stood up, wincing at the disgusting smell. She walked towards what she thought might be the entrance.

The light was dim and it hurt her already pounding head to focus. When she reached the weakly lighted room she smacked against a thick glass wall. Trying to find answers she looked around the room she once thought was a cave and realized it was but a large, dark, room with speakers in the corners making a high pitched ring. She tried to remember the last thing that had happened to her when she entered the forest. She vaguely remembered running... a loud sound and then... Blackness.

Emma fearfully looked around the room again looking for a door or something to aid her escape. Nothing. The only things she could make out were the speakers, a small bed?, and- Oh no. A camera in the corner with a little red light blinking on and off, on and off. She was being watched. Who-no, whatever took her here could now know she was awake.

Emma panicked. She needed to get out of here. Summoning all her energy, she focused on the glass and mentally pushed with all her strength. The glass shattered instantly. Emma walked out of the room into a dingy hallway as a blaring alarm sounded from what seemed like every speaker in the building. 'At least my powers are still working.'

Looking towards the long, twisting hallway that sat in front of her, she ran. All she could do was run. Her mind flooded with questions. Even though her powers were working, they were useless in the dark.

'It's so dark! Why is it so dark?!' The dim red lights didn't help at all and all she could see was right in front of her.

'Do they know me? Was I random? No. Why else would it be so dark?'

As she ran through the hallway, stifling a sneeze because of the dust in the air, she felt like she was in a nightmare. Shadows leaped out at her like a cat pouncing at a mouse. Emma was tempted to try to light her way with her magic, but there was only the red light, which was useless, and she was sooooo tired. Breaking the glass had taken a lot out of her.

Finally, she found something that looked like a door to the outside. A dim, yellow glow was giving light to the hallway. Emma ran to the door, opened it swiftly, and ran out into the open.

'Finally,' she thought but as she looked around, she only felt more lost. The trees were tall and looming over her, the bright sun was rising over the horizon, the flowers danced along the forest floor, and yet, the feeling of dread did not leave her.

"This isn't the first time I've vanished. I have gotten away with breaking out of places before! This ones no different," Emma scolded herself.

She walked along the tree line, making sure to stay out of sight from anyone that might be watching. As she glanced back at the building she had just escaped from, she felt an almost overwhelming desire to go back. She shuddered at the thought, telling herself off for wanting to do something so stupid.

Wanting to run away from the desire, fearing what it will bring, she turned tail and ran deep into the forest like a scared animal. When she had run herself to the brink of her lungs bursting, she stopped and set up camp. The magic through her veins had given her some extra energy to feed off of until she couldn't anymore. The feeling of dread still followed her.

She has used up too much of her power and she could feel the karma of it trying to whisk her away to a slumber. As she sat on the forest floor she made a mental note to not fall asleep. Sure on normal occasions when she was back with her friends in their house they all shared, she would let herself fall asleep in a millisecond, but she wasn't with her friends. She was lost in a part of the forest she didn't recognize after being kidnapped. If she fell asleep here, there was no telling who or what would find her and what would happen to her after.

Her 'Fantasy Dreaming,' as her friends called it, wasn't something that she could wake up from on the fly, she would sleep and sleep until her body needed to eat or drink. She played with her long, curly blond hair as her body relaxed. Right before she slumped into a sleeping position, she stood up and began looking for something to do while she recovered from using too much of her powers.

'Why did I have to discover the portal?' she thought again in her ritual of regret and pain. 'Why couldn't have been Pr,-Jackson or something?'

She answered her questions as she thought them.

'Because it called to me. I could feel the portal. Because Jackson was in Florida at the time, that stupid... BUTT FACE!' That made Emma laugh. It always did.

Sighing Emma started to collect sticks for a fire. Feeling a little sick, she sat down and before long she was fast asleep.
