It took Emma a while to relax enough to fall asleep but once she did, she was out. Her Fantasy Dreaming took hold of her tightly but wouldn't let her go. The mixture of emotions and the low level of energy she had that day didn't help her break out of the sleep. Her dreams were nothing but dark and silent, at least, that she could remember. As she eased back into consciousness, her eyes fluttered open and she looked at the somewhat familiar scene in front of her. Her campfire was out and she was still in the hollow of the tree's huge stump. The sun's beams were shining through the leaves of the trees in a nice warming manner. It was cold last night so Emma had curled up into her teal sweater to stay warm, now though, it was the perfect temperature. It was a mild morning with a soft chilly breeze. She stretched and stood up, intently regretting it.

A wave of nausea hit her as she stumbled to the ground. She had barely eaten anything yesterday and her stomach was going to teach her a lesson. Her stomach made the loudest growl she had ever heard and did front flips inside of her. It felt awful. Picking herself up she grabbed some new sticks and re-lit the fire. Waiting for the mushrooms and other plants she found to cook seemed impossible.

Finally, they were done.

Almost instantly, Emma devoured every little piece of food and her stomach calmed down, though she knew that wouldn't last long. She stuck her hands into the river and with her eyes followed how it flowed around rocks and roots.

"I guess it's time to continue on this pointless walk for no reason." Remembering her promise to herself to stay positive she continued, "I mean... This very needed walk to keep up my spirits!"

As Emma got up, she felt like she was being watched. Looking around and seeing no one, she continued to walk, picking the berries and mushrooms as she went. Time seemed to move slowly as she walked. It felt like there was some force that was pushing her the way she'd come. Using all of the energy she gained back that night to leave the pulling force, she realized nothing was working. She slowed to a stop, trying hard not to fall over... Her head was already spinning... She needed to get out of here... She needed to stay awake... As Emma fell, she heard a whooshing sound above her and saw a figure that looked familiar... She could see the amber hair flowing behind them and the bright wings stretched out.

'Since when have I been so stupid? I usually know when I've reached my limit. What's changed?' Emma thought to herself as her mind entered sleep. 'Now whatever that thing is knows where I am and I'm... well, I'm absolutely powerless against it!' Emma was alone in her mind. Her thoughts and memories flowed around her as her mind went deeper and quicker to a sleep that she wouldn't be able to remember again.

'You know, what's the deal with fantasy dreaming anyway? I don't remember what goes on, why not just sleep normally huh?' Emma yelled in her mind. "Sighing" she decided the best thing to do was just to relax, getting mad would help anything right now. '"Jackson" wouldn't have let anything get this bad...'

With that, she went into a sleep deeper than REM.

(Change of PoV kinda and also going a little back in time... :P)

Flying over the trees during the night felt like home to Mist. As Mist took a swift dive, something caught her eye. It was a glow. A golden, flickering light that penetrated through the leaves and into her eyes. It had been a while since Mist had seen any fires so when she saw this one, it took her by surprise. 'Someone's in the forest with me?' Mist thought, astonished.

Landing was easy enough, her body moving instinctively into the correct position for a stealthy landing, and walked towards the light. She didn't move as quietly as she should have, so when the figure stiffened at the sound of a twig breaking under Mist's foot, Mist took off as quickly as she could. Now perching on a thick branch above the figure, she saw them turn around. Mist could feel the fear now. The girl's fear. She was no threat, and Mist felt a pull trying to make her fall off the branch she was on. Having enough, Mist took off into the night.

That morning, Mist felt the pull again to make her fly, and she complied willingly. The feel of wind in her dark amber and blue feathers made her smile a little, reminding her of home. Glancing down she saw the same girl who was at the fire and let her wings carry her down until she was in front of the girl. She was short, with curly blond hair that reminded Mist of one of her old friends from before the forest. The girl looked like she was fighting against the invisible force that kept Mist here, though the edge of the forest was some miles away. Mist had experienced the invisible forces full power, and knew that it could overwhelm or kill anyone that fought for too long... You could tell the girl was loosing ground quickly, and just like that, she slumped forward and in a dead faint.

"I don't have much of a choice now, do I," Mist muttered as she picked up the girl and flew away towards her house.
