𝐵𝑎𝑐𝑘𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑦

Adeline Ross was an average 14-year-old teenager living in Newton, Massachusetts. She moved when she was 4 with her mom Ashley and her sister, Nova, who was at the time wasn't born yet. Her Dad had left them after her mom found out she was pregnant with Nova. Her mom thought it was best to leave the town they were in to start a new life before her daughter would be born. 

Adeline's neighbor was a boy named Jacob Barber. He was a rather cute boy with brown hair, sea green eyes, and faint freckles. They became friends instantly, they would hang out almost every day, on the weekends, after school, on vacation, and any other times they could. They had lots of memories together. Adeline's wall in her bedroom was filled with photos of them together and just founds of memories when they were younger and still to this day she had photos. 

 𝑆ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑎𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟 ℎ𝑖𝑚 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑎𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟 ℎ𝑒𝑟.

Then in 10th grade. When everything changed. Because of Ben Fucking Rifkin. 

Ben always liked Adeline but the eighth grade was when he took action. He forced her into a relationship and she had no choice. If she said no, Ben said he would start fake rumors about her. He still did, after she said yes to dating him. She told him everything, she trusted him with all her heart since she knew he wasn't spreading the rumors. That was the last person she trusted. Ben would take Adeline's secrets and turn them into rumors to fuck with her. He told Adeline that he didn't spread the rumors, he said it was Sophie, which is the girl he cheated one Adeline with.  

After that relationship Adeline Trusted no one. 

And that's how she gained her 𝑇𝑟𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝐼𝑠𝑠𝑢𝑒𝑠.

This is a short little pre-chapter to explain Adeline's backstory. Throughout the story, you get to see really how bad Ben and Sophie treated her, her life at home, her dad, and of course Jacob and his story.  Also I switched the grade to 10th because I'm not too sure what grade they are in but it is aged up to 11th.
