You opened your eyes, the sunlight from your window painted on your face as you groaned and got up out of bed. Another day at school, another day with your friends, and more importantly, another day with C/N.

You peered out your window into the area in front of your house, the wind from it allowing it to give you a soft refreshment before getting ready for the school day. You thought about what the day would look like throughout your classes, what kind of interaction you would have with C/N today, as they sit nearby you.

After putting on your clothes and grabbing a small snack to either eat for breakfast or save for later, you hopped out the door. Sooner than later, you walked through the school doors and continued to stroll through the halls, trying to get to your first class of the day.

Your daydreaming soon came to a stop after you bumped shoulders with a fellow student, whatever they were carrying in their hands, dropping onto the floor. In a panic, you immediately turned around and helped pick things up, but you heard a familiar apology beforehand.

"I'm so sorry, I should have been watching where I was going-" The person said before you looked up and met eyes with the person in front of you. Your features relaxed and you realize why you recognized the voice.

It was C/N, with the sound of their voice like music to your ears, you continued to pick up their things with a small blush on your face before nodding. "It's fine-" you were going to reply, but they had all of their things in their hands and waved goodbye to you.

You weren't sure why they scurried off in such a frantic way, as you two were headed to the same class. So, you followed suit, entering the class, and going to your seat. The teacher had walked in as well, beginning to go on a signature ramble about the content of the assignment.

So, you zoned out. Thinking about the interaction. The brush of fingers trying to get items back to its owner, the clumsy chuckle they let out after trying to pick up their things, and the small smile you saw on their face when they realized it was you.

"Miss L/N?" The teacher said aloud, their arms crossing as you snapped back into reality. "Class is meant to be spent working, not daydreaming about whatever it is you children think about these days." With a sigh, the teacher resumed talking about an assignment. You heard a small snicker nearby. Piss off, B/F/N.

"A common theme among students these days is the topic of love, whether you're attracted to someone or not, it's what the majority of students crave." The teacher said, pointing at the board with information on it. "You will have to reenact something from a movie, play, or musical, or simply create a monologue yourself contrasting the way people from our past have reacted to love and how people your age would react to it now. I'm letting you have free roam over this. Here are your partner assignments..."

The class let out a collective mumble or groan at the thought of assigned partners, that's just evil. You waited patiently as the teacher went down the list of pairings of irrelevant people before you heard your name, perking up.

"Y/N and C/N."

Your inner self cheered before panicking. Well, at least this assignment would be easy to act out because you wouldn't be acting in the first place! Though, it would be painful if C/N would only be just acting as well...
