Family situation- they knew their dad but they were killed when Quaeth was a kid, he doesn't remember much. After that he was taken in by a man that trained him to be an assassin. The man was never really family... but Quaeth didn't know any better so he looked up to the man like a father

How they feel about themselves- not great... quaeth often sees himself as some kind of monster. He doesn't like what he is

In human form Quaeth has pitch black skin with shock white hair. As he shifts it's like his body turns into liquid, it moves like liquid and elongates. His limbs get a bit longer and thinner along with his torso (ribs also change shape a bit and become more prominent). His head also gets longer, his eyes sink into his head and his nose flattens so all he has is two long slits. His mouth widens and his teeth change into sharp points like a wolfs. Basically all his facial features disappear and flatten out. All of his hair disappears under the black liquid, and at the back of his head long almost constantly moving tentacles form. He can move and change the shape of these tentacles at will. His fingers also elongate to fine points. His legs do a bit more shifting because they turn into more animal legs with three segments and his feet completely chance to something like long talons. His whole body looks pure and smooth, it shimmers a bit in the light but in the dark he can be almost invisible. His form still manages to have defined muscles but nothing else. No sex in this form. He has two tails that split from his lower spine, they're fairly long, more like a lizard or salamanders tail. He can suddenly shift his liquid body to flatten and hide on surfaces or as a puddle, he can also dodge things by simply letting them pass through him.
Quaeth likes wearing fitted clothes because they make him feel comfortable and safe. He also likes blankets because they give him the same comforting feeling.
Quaeth is a predator and in his more natural shifted form he is very dangerous and bloodthirsty. He feels safer in human form because he can control the urges to kill a lot better. In his shifted form he is way more creature like and acts more on his creature instincts and habits.
He also has a dinosaur plushie named Jake. It's another comforting thing for him, it helps him ground himself. Jake doesn't really look like a dinosaur anymore because Quaeth squeezes him so much, especially when he sleeps.
Quaeth originally lived underground, in puddle form he would squeeze between rocks and sleep stretched that way in almost no form at all. He would surface to hunt. He could literally squeeze himself between only millimeters of space between rocks, roots, and other stuff in the ground
Quaeth lacks any scent at all, if anything he smells like blood after a kill
Quaeth doesn't need to breath to survive
