A Seiryuu's Tale ||ROTTMNT Fanfic||

Finally! Something Eventful.

"Ah New York... The city that never sleeps."

Was the first thought that came to my head as I took a breath of not so fresh air.

Jumping from roof to roof had my mind going on and on about how interesting this place was. Every time I came here for one thing or another there was always something going on on the streets. However, the more I pondered on it the more I realized that it was always the same routine.

People screaming at each other from across the street, cars constantly honking at whatever was in front of them, the occasional gang members causing riot or hiding in the alleyways, the giant hippo magician attacking a group of four terrapins and a girl....

Wait...

"What?!"

I turned towards that scene again.

"So it wasn't my imagination...." I thought and I payed attention to what was happening. There was in fact a giant hippopotamus dressed as a magician and there was in fact four human sized turtles along with a dark skinned girl.

They seemed to be in a fight.

"Interesting.... I should take a closer look."

Swiftly and effortlessly by hiding in the shadow, I secretly made my way closer to the fight before me. Being careful as to not make myself be noticed.

I examined the figures before me.

"Kappa? No..... Mutants." All of them seemed to be mutants minus the human girl of course.

As they were fighting they were also shouting at each other. Mainly the four turtle mutants were yelling at each other while the hippo and the girl sighed.

"Maybe instead of sitting there and spouting out your one liners, which are not clever mind you, you can... oh I don't know HELP?!" This came from the purple wearing turtle.

"Pssh you never appreciate me Donnie! Whatever I can take this guy on my own just you watch." This came from the other one. He was wearing blue.

"So purple has a name... Donnie... hmmmm?"

"Uh guys..." Came the worried tone of the one wearing orange.

"Save it for late- LEO WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Lastly the big one wearing red spoke.

"I'm doing our job for us! Okay Hypno-Potamus get ready to get your game on- AAAH!" He was cut off by the hippo throwing some hoops towards him.

"Blue is Leo.... Got it."

The girl sighed and face palmed.

"Sometimes a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do." She lunged at the hippo from behind with a giant bat and for a moment I thought she was going to succeed until. "APRIIIIIL O'NEEIIIL!"

The hippo mutant turned towards her and shouted. "MEZMER-ROOOOO!"

And she was left suspended in the air with an entranced look on her face.

"Oh no! April!" Orange.

"Thats it buddy you just made this personal and when you make it personal Raph gets angry!" Red said as he smashed his two fist together. "Come on guys! No one messes with our friend."

"Was he speaking in the third person or.....? Whatever I'm just going to assume."

Blue, or Leo, got back up from being scared and readied his sword. The other two turtles followed suit.

All together the four did a group attack on the hypno-potimus and for a good minute everything was going well. It almost looked like they were going to sustain the hippo and get their friend back until one of them had a slip up and it caused a domino effect on the rest of the turtles.

I wasn't able to conceal my laughter and everyone froze.

"Uh... do you guys hear that?" Blue.

"Yeah.... it sounds like laughing." Purple.

"Oh shi-"

"Hey! Whoever's hidings better come out right now!" Red.

Thinking I might as well, I complied.

"Might as well help them too..." I mentally shrugged to myself.

Swiftly I dashed towards the hippo and caught him off guard.

"Wha-What?!"

I reached for his pressure points like my grandmother taught me and he blacked out. This caused whatever hypnotism spell he was using on the girl to cancel itself out and she dropped to the ground.

"Ugh my head...."

I approached her not caring that I got caught or that a human was going to see me.

"Are you okay?" I asked her.

"Hey! Wait a minu-" Red was saying.

"Yeah I'm good. Tha- Woe! You're not one of my friends." I'm guessing that in her confusion she must have thought I was one of the turtles despite having an obvious feminine voice.

"You're friends? As in them?" I turned to look at the turtles behind me.

"April!" Said orange as he was running to glomp her. "You're okay!"

"Yea I'm good Mikey." She smiled as she hugged back.

"Um guys need you forget the obvious stranger thats right HERE!" Purple or in this case Donnie exclaimed.

I smirked.

"Yeah! Who the heck are you?!" Red or Raph said.

I flipped my hair to the side, smirk still present. I spoke.

"Really? Thats the way you treat the person who just put a stop to your obvious enemy and saved your friend? Not even a thank you?"

"How do we not know that you're also our enemy?!" Red.

I shrugged. "I guess that's really up to you to decide now is it?"

"So you ARE our enemy!" Blue exclaimed pointing his finger at me.

"We literally just met. No need to be so prejudice. Are you boys not used to random acts of kindness? I literally saved your friend can't I get a thank you?"

"Fine thank you! Now who are you??" Red.

I chuckled. "How desperate...." speaking of I really needed to continue my ingredient finding mission. "You can have the liberty of calling me Seiryuu." I smirked again as I looked at big red.

"I'm guessing you're Raph... Right?"

"How di-"

I looked at blue. "And you're Leo."

"Wha-"

I pointed at orange. "Mikey."

"Uh..."

Lastly I looked at purple. "Donnie."

"Woe..."

"How did you know that?" Raph asked looking shocked, paranoid and angry all at the same time.

Now I could've just said the truth, that I overheard their little squabble. But what was the fun in that?

"Oh dear me look at the time...." I say as I look down at my invisible watch. "I really must get going."

"Oh no you're not!"

"Oh yes I am! Nice meeting you all." I smiled condescendingly at them and threw a smoke bomb at their feet.

As they were blinded I quickly made my way out of there silently laughing to myself. I started my original mission to find whatever ingredient my grandmother wanted all the while I was thinking.

"I was wrong. It's not always the same routine."
