A Seiryuu's Tale ||ROTTMNT Fanfic||

A New Totally Not Weird Friend.

It was a new ordinary day, which in this case meant another day of listening to torturous lectures in the life of April O'Neil.

But at least she had her friend Sunita to look forward to and then spending time with the turtles after school.

So of course it was an ordinary day but at least she had some great not so ordinary friends.

Once she arrived at her first class which she, sadly, took alone. She sat down in her usual chair and she waited for the classroom to fill up and for the teacher to arrive.

By waiting of course we mean that she was actually checking through her social media on her phone.

Once the teacher arrived with their usual greeting, they started their usual lecture. First period was of course English literature and everyone just softly or mentally groaned as soon as the teacher told everybody to pull out their text book and start reading from the chapter they left off the last time they took the class.

As everyone was reading the teacher began explaining that the students had to do a project on the story they were reading and that this project was of groups of two.

"And I will be assigning partners." Said the teacher.

Everyone groaned even louder while April started to panic. Usually when it comes to projects like these whenever Sunita wasn't in class April was always partnered up with Dale.

"I do NOT want to be partnered up with Dale this time!" She thought.

"I'll begin assigning partners now."

"Please don't be Dale. Please don't be Dale. Please DON'T. BE. DALE." She chanted in her head.

"O'Neil, you will be partnered up wit-"

"Sorry I'm late!" Interrupted a very exasperated sounding feminine voice.

April stopped her mental chant and looked at the owner of the voice. It was a girl, she had short black hair that was styled in a bob cut with two long strands in the front. The girl was wearing sunglasses even though she was indoors, so April couldn't really see her eyes but on her face she wore a smirk. The girl was wearing a black long sleeved shirt and high waisted skinny jeans with high top sneakers to match. Lastly the girl was pretty thin, bit of an hourglass figure and she had neutral toned skin.

"You are?" The teacher asked examining the girl.

"Oh my name is Shinobu Fujimori! I'm the new transfer student."

The teacher looked at her and then at her clipping board.

"Hmm... Seems that you're right here Miss Fujimori. Take the free seat behind Miss O'Neil. O'Neil if you may, raise your hand."

April did just that.

"And while we're at it. I understand that you're new here but I won't be cutting some slack on you just because you transferred a bit late into the semester. O'Neil will be your partner and fill you in on the project after class.

Shinobu just shrugged and agreed.

The world was suddenly a bit brighter in April's eyes. Finally the Dale curse has been lifted. April looked at Shinobu and saw nothing but sparkles and rainbows. This new girl was her savior.

On her way to her seat, Shinobu glanced at April and nodded to her.

If April knew anything, it was that Shinobu totally had that cool kid aura.

"Oh yeah, I am definitely gonna try to befriend her."

After class April stayed near the door and waited for Shinobu to come out.
