Chapter 14

No alarm. Just me drowning in my tears. Today was the driving test. I didn't study, couldn't study. I got up from the carpet went downstairs took a piece of toast and walked. Walked aimlessly. I could go to the driving test, but everything would go wrong.

"Hey, kid, where ya going?" A guy on the sidewalk asked.

"Forest"

"No kid, for real"

"Driving test"

"Don't you need a car"

"Yeah.."

"Nervous?"

"Sure.."

I was scared so I was lying.

"Yeah well, you should go get a car, you'll be fine, don't worry."

Then I figured out who the guy was, it was my dad.

"Okay dad"

"How'd ya know?"

"I-i remember being in the hospital"

"But they said you wouldn't remember a thing"

Then he started, " I need to be a dad!"

"Later.." I chuckled.

Maybe my dad was right. Maybe I wasn't that bad. Maybe he wasn't that bad, he was good enough to be a dad.

I slammed open the door,

"Get in the car! After some actual food.."

"What got you in a happy mood," she said putting down her coffee.

We ate waffles and I got all sticky because I ate with all my shirt.

"Out we go!" I said laughing

Why did I feel excited? Was it because I was about to accomplish something? This was the start of a new beginning, just need to pass this test and my life will become normal again

Here I was scared crying feeling terrible sitting beside the driver, I just ran over someone, on a driving test. I was doomed, fresh start my ass. I just FAILED. Not only that I killed SOMEONE. Just great, my life is just great I'll get this on my record and just die. I got out of the car went to the tree and there was the little girl. Lying unconscious, looking dead. Did I run over her or killed her?

To Quinn: please come over here, just, please. I accept you, you are my best friend just because I don't love you the same way you love me doesn't mean anything, because I love you please don't leave me I just did the worst thing in the world and I need help because I can't do this alone again, I can't be alone. I need you and its only been 1 day but I am begging my life is nothing without you.

From Quinn: ...

To Quinn: I knew it was a bad attempt...

From Quinn: Fine. What the hell do you need?

To Quinn: I can't explain it right now, just please come over here

"Hello?" I said to the little girl.

"You are just satan, or a demon is inside of you, you are going to rot in hell because you let your anger control you. That policeman was right, you are a liar never able to get the truth out, check what you really are not what you want to be. "

This had to be a sign, I don't understand how does she know this stuff? How do I suddenly realize this stuff? I am so confused. I looked at her puzzled and carried her to the ambulance,

"Youngin, let go of her we can get it done"

Then another man said "come with me"

I did as the man said, I was so scared I didn't know what was going on honestly. I should've just got lost in the woods...

"Kid, do you know who crashed and why since you are last seen on the accident"

I gulped and said "no sir"

"On this video, it shows you came out of the backseat of the car," he said now looking directly at me "who was driving." It wasn't a question, it was a demand now.

"I honestly don't know! Everything was a blur."

"Mhmm.. so he crashed the pole hard enough to do that? I disagree the poke would've had a dent, stop covering up."

"Sir, with all due respect, I honestly do not remember." Then I started " honestly I think it was the guy in the front passenger seat"

"I agree."

"May I leave now?"

"Sure"

That was the most awkward thing ever, but now that guy was getting the blame. Why couldn't I say the truth? I guess I'll just stick with this story.

To Quinn: Are you almost here?

"I'm right behind you, why would you lie? What the hell is your issue?!"

"You're right--"

"You almost got killed!" Then he hugged me.

I was so confused I thought he caught me in my tracks.

"Let's go, leave it to the authorities"
