Three years later...
Hotch
It's been three years since that day in the hospital. Addison is fine now, except for the scar on her abdomen. Little Emma is now three years old and she is so much like Addison. She has dark brown hair and grey eyes with flecks of blue and brown. Emma wants to grow her hair out like Addison's. She's had it cut so now it goes halfway down her back. Emma's hair is just passed her shoulder blades. Addison and Spencer are still going strong and Spencer even wants another kid. He says he hasn't talked to Addison about it though. Right now is a day off and we are all at Addison and Spencer's house. Their dog Buster plays in the yard with Emma, Henry and Jack. Addison is making BBQ ribs on the grill and it smells awesome! "Hey Hotch! Foods ready!" Derek calls from the grill where Addison is putting ribs on his plate. Spencer and JJ come out with all sorts of sides. We all sit at the table and dig in. "Addie you're no joke when it comes to that grill." Derek says digging into his food. "Yeah, how did you learn to cook like this?" Em asks. We all turn to her. "Cooking just comes really natural, I guess." She says sheepishly. We all thank her and go back to eating. After lunch we all help Addison clean up then go back outside for adult talk while the kids play in the yard with Buster.
Addie
We are all sitting out back and just having fun when I hear the phone ring. I go to answer it. "Hello?" Nothing. Oh well. Wrong number. When I turn around I see a man with a gun. Pointing it at me. "Who are you?" I ask loud enough for everyone outside to hear. "Addie, is everything okay?" I hear Spencer holler. The man clicks the gun. "Tell him everything is fine and I won't kill you or anyone outside." he warns. "Yeah, everything is fine, just a sales call." I reply. "Okay." I hear him say. "Good girl. Now, unless you want me to kill everyone you love do as I say" I nod and he has me quickly write a not to Spencer. The guy doesn't even bother read it. I figured as much. He's too unorganized. So I told Spencer everything. The man makes me leave my wedding bands he thinks I'm leaving Spencer a break up note. He quickly ushers me out the door. We get in his car. He's driving. Big mistake. We get onto the highway. He gets distracted for a split second and I take my chance. I jerk the steering wheel and flip the car. We role off the road and down a hill. When the car stops rolling I get myself out of the car. I drag the other guy out and call Hotch.
"Hotch, is everyone okay?"
"Yeah, where are you? We read your note. Do you recognize the man that took you and how are you able to call from your phone?"
"I'm about three miles up the highway. It's directly East from the house. He was driving so I grabbed the wheel and jerked it. Flipping the car down a hill."
"Are you hurt? Also, why did you call me and not Spencer?"
"I'm not hurt. I called you because I need to hear a voice of reason. I don't want to upset Spencer more than he already is."
"Okay. We are on the way. Do you recognize the man?"
I take a good look at the man.
"Yeah. He's my uncle." I hang up the phone and it hits the ground as old memories flood over me.
"No daddy! Please I'll be a good girl!" A ten year old Addie says crying on the living room floor.
My dad and uncle grin evilly. My dad pulls me by my hair across the living room floor.
I scream the whole time. They take me to the basement and throw me down the steps.
I hit the concrete floor really hard. Dad and uncle hook me to the chains attached to the ceiling as they mercilessly beat me.
Soon mom comes down. "M-mommy. Help." I whisper weakly. She just laughs. "Oh, you little weakling. I'm not going to help you. I'm going to join in the fun."
She says menacingly while pulling out a whip. She brings it down on me several times. Until I finally pass out from the pain.
"Addie!" I'm pulled out of my thoughts to see Spencer looking at me worriedly. His hands on my shoulders. "Spencer?" I reply. He pulls me in for a hug. I grip the back of his shirt as I cry into his chest. He rubs my back soothingly. "Shh. I'm here. He can't hurt you anymore. I promise baby. It's all gonna be okay." He whispers into my ear. I cling to him tighter as I start to tremble. "Addie you have to calm down. You're gonna give yourself a panic attack. Just listen to my voice. Breathe. Calmly." He whispers soothingly. I focus on his words as he starts whispering sweet nothings of the day we first met. "I remember it so well. You had your hair in a bun, you had a forest green blouse and grey slacks. You were reading a file Hotch gave you and I was reading a book. We bumped into each other and you fell on your butt. When I helped you up I looked into your crystal blue eyes and I knew. I knew you would be mine." He whispers to me. Remembering that day seems to calm me a bit. I loosen my grip on his shirt and he continues to run my back.
When I release my grip on him I look at his face. "Spencer. There's something I want to tell you." He looks confused. "What is it?" He asks. I smile widely. "I'm pregnant."
The end.
