"So basically brushing our teeth is the only time we are washing our bones." Mild stated.

"Mild, shut the fuck up." Gulf hissed, he was so not in the mood for his weird antics.

They had been talking about nonsense for the past hour now; it was school's festival day, which means a full day of no studying and also a full day of boringness. The two cousins had taken place sitting underneath a big tree somewhere around the school's park, fanning their selves while complaining how hot it was.

Spring had just ended, why is it so damn hot?

The school festival was a showcase for college students to represent their university and faculties. Gulf was in second year of High school and he always snorted whenever they come by every year; it was funny that they thought these crack-heads was continuing for college. Well maybe some of those nerds but, the chances are still low since they do hard cocaine too, anyway.

"Yo, see that chic over there?" Jackson—their acquaintance said. Gulf snapped his head towards the man that suddenly appeared beside him.

When the fuck did he get here?

"Who is she?" He continued to ask.

"That's the school's new nurse, Mrs. Wang, she's from Taiwn or something..." Mild answered, he always had every person in this town's info because... he just does.

It was his hobby, lowkey.

"Damn, I'd tap that," Jackson licked his lips. Gulf stared at him in disgust and waved his hand dismissively.

"Get away from here, scram!"

Jackson clicked his tongue and walked away with his hands in his pockets. Gulf is still confused how he managed to stay here for two whole years; yet another year again. People here was lowkey unbearable, these shitheads was literally full of shits.

Then Gulf stopped his train of thoughts, a year more.

A year from now he will be graduating out from this hell hole. He'd wonder where his path would lead him be? Will he continue on with college like his parents? Or will he settle and play dangerously like other family member do?

But his mind also wandered elsewhere too; what will happen with him and Mew?

He shuddered at the thought. It was such an unpleasant feeling to think about the future, he didn't like thinking about it as he often ended up having an existential crisis. He was pulled back from his daydream with a sudden cool touching his cheeks.

He looked up and saw Mew with his usual blank face holding two drinks. Gulf took the drink from his hand hesitantly; the other man took a seat beside him on the ground, joining the group.

"Wow, nothing for me?" Mild joked, he slapped Mew's shoulder lightly.

Mew stared at him, and replied a simple, "no."

Gulf smirked at his response, attaboy. Mild coughed at the building awkward tension. Mew wasn't really fit physically nor mentally prepared to take any joke, every funny remarks (at least for Mild) flew over the man's head. The three man eventually continued on their silent conversation, mindlessly watching every person passing by.

Mew was a lot better now, he had enough confident to answer other people simple questions. Gulf also sometimes catch him hanging out with a few other weirdoes at school, you know the cast-outs, chatting lightly; even though he would often end up withdrawing from the conversation.
