"Hendrix you said you were going to pick me
up from work" I said as I tapped my foot on the concrete.
"Jayla... I'm coming man, I just got off the freeway." He said but I know he lying by the amount of background noise.
"Mhmm, whatever." I said as I hung up the phone.
I can't wait for my car to get out the shop. I have been without my baby for a week and was already tired of asking my brother, Hendrix for rides.
Suddenly, everybody began to turn in one direction and I knew my brother had finally made it. Another reason I hated to ask him for a ride is because everyone knew him. Hendrix ran the north side of Georgia along with some other dude I've never met.
"Jayla, c'mon I got somewhere to be later." Hendrix hollered out his Matte Black 2019 Chevy Tahoe sitting on 28" rims blasting music.

I rolled my eyes, "Wellllll, if you came on time then you wouldn't have to worry about making it to wherever on time."
Hurriedly, I hopped in the truck knowing he would seriously leave me.
"Just drop me off at my condo" I said
"Mannn... Why you cant go over Kendra house until later?"
I smacked my lips and said "You just wanna have a reason to go over there"

Kendra is my bestfriend and my brother's girlfriend but she has yet again found out he was texting another girl.
"Whatever, just go over there so I can tell her how much I miss her" he said
"I ain't getting in between y'all mess no more, fuck that. Besides I thought you had somewhere to be?" I asked. I was tired of being in the middle when I knew for a fact that Kendra was just gonna take him back.

"Dang you can't do your brother a solid? Thats cool cause imma go over there tonight anyways." He smirked
"Okay but don't say I didn't warn you" I said
"Clothes aint shit to me." He said
Every time Kendra find out he has been cheating she usually get upset and bleach his clothes and shit. However, she said she is tired of him playing with her feelings so this time she is taking drastic measures.

"Thats not what I'm talking about" I laughed
"She said she tired of your shit so we going out tonight to find her somebody who appreciates her" I said while on my phone asking Kendra what club did she pick for tonight.

"Nah she aint crazy. I run the North and every nigga know she off limits" He laughed
He was serious too. Everybody knew but that wasn't going to stop us from having a good time tonight.

"Matter of fact, fuck that we finna go over there now"
I rolled my eyes cause I know he about to cause a scene. I try to persuade him I was just playing but he knows me too well and can tell that I was lying.

"WHAT!" He shouts as he answers his ringing phone. Now I know for a fact he mad as hell so I hurry and text Kendra that we five minutes away and she need to lock her door
"Aight nigga whatever but you gone have to wait. I got some shit to handle real quick" He said as he pulled into Kendra's driveway. He hurriedly hopped out and began banging on the door.

"Go home Hendrix. I ain't playing with your ass" Kendra yelled from inside her house
"Bitch come out here right now! You think finna go to a club tonight?" He yelled
"Imma go wherever I wanna go! I aint nun of your concern no more. Now get the fuck off my porch before I shoot your ass!" She yelled back.

" You really wanna try that? I bought you that shit but aight thats cool. I bet your ass won't get in. Believe that!" He yelled walking back to the car. He really got the North on lock so whatever he says goes. Ain't nobody want beef with him so they usually just did what he said.

" Uh un how you gone ban us? She wasn't the only one going" I said as he slammed the door
" Yeah well now ain't nobody going. Aint you gotta study or some shit anyways?" He said
"Its the weekend but please let us go" I begged cause I was tryna get some action tonight. I was not going to let their argument affect a possible good weekend.
