I put my head on the desk, "We're so fucking screwed!"
"I'm sure we'll figure something out," I hear Lily reassure us. I look up at her, she has a fake smile, deep down she knows we're screwed.
"Maybe there's something in our books about how to unlock magic," Izzie suggested.
"Izzie you genius!!!" I basically scream in relief causing some people to stare over at us. We flipped open our books, I skimmed through looking at each heading. Blood Boil Spell, Narcolepsy Spell, Wilting Touch, Awakenings, THAT'S IT!!!! There has to be something in here about awakening magic, Awakening nytoclypitc energy, Awakening Inner Demon Vision, Awakening your Archangel...I probably look like some sort of edgelord with this book. Anyways there's nothing about unlocking the ability to do magic itself. "You guys have any luck?" I ask.
"Nope..."Izzie says, flipping through the pages of her book. "Just a bunch of spells and stuff," she sighs in disappointment. We both turn and look at Lily, she gives us a nervous look indicating she didn't find anything in her book. Just great...how are we supposed to just find out how to do this without even telling us how to do it, it's like throwing a newborn into a pool and expecting them to swim. "God, why couldn't she just tell us how to do this, or at least give us the general idea how," Izzie sighs in frustration.
"I'm sure she has a reason why she's not telling us," Lily reassured.
"C'mon, if you were a teacher and you had to teach the students something they never even did before, what would do?" Izzie asked.
"I would....explain..it..to them," Lily said while trailing off, "I'm sure she'll end up explaining it in a bit, no one is gonna be able to do this." How can she still stay positive when we're totally clueless on what we have to do?
"Soooooo... now what?" I ask semi awkwardly.
"We should see if the others have any progress." Lily suggests.
"Highly doubt they found anything out," Izzie says bluntly.
"Yeah, I mean look around at everyone, they all look equally confused as us." I chimed in.
"I mean, it wouldn't hurt to at least try..." Lily said.
"I guess, but I'd only ask Lucas's group since I'm gonna assume that this stuck up rich kid is smart," I say looking over at Lucas, who's with Zack and Tiffany.
"Sure, let's give it a go," Izzie shrugs as we pull our chairs over to their group. Tiffany was too busy doing who knows what on her phone, while Lucas and Zack were busy reading their books. "Don't even waste your time we already tried the books," Izzie sighs, resting her head in her hand.
Lucas looks up from his book, "So I'm assuming none of you found anything out?"
"Nope...." I say disappointed.
"I mean, I now know a lot about trees!" Zack says with an awkward smile, trying to lighten up the situation.
"Zack, that's great and all," Lucas starts. I slightly glared at him, know where he was going with that statement, "But, it's completely irrelevant to the current problem."
"Well I-i just t-thought th-," Zack stutters out.
"Dude just leave him alone! He was just trying to be positive!" I say.
"I know bu-"
"No but! If he wants to have a more positive outlook let him!"
But," I give him a death glare, he sighs, "I'm not going to humor this any longer.
"Hey you never told us we were re grouping yet," Gray says about to place his chair in between mine and Izzie's, we quickly scoot our chairs together preventing him from sitting here. He frowns at us before pulling his chair next to Jason's.
