CHAPTER XVIII

Taehyung's POV

An unknown phone call awakes me, when I answered it, It was Amber. Her voice seems to be so afraid and tired, I'm worried about her.

I rushed to the hospital as fast as I can, my car is running 140 kmph. I'm so focused on my driving that I forgot everything,the only thing on my mind is that I need to save my Angel, I need to save Amber.

For every stoplight I go through I pray that Amber is still there.

When I got to the hospital, I searched every side of the hospital and asked every nurse I pass by hoping to find a single clue about her. Then this nurse came up to me saying she know where Amber is so I followed her. We got to a doctor's office, but the doctor said she already left a moment ago.

I was left dumbfounded, I didn't save her, my Angel. I decided to exit the hospital and back to my car.I was inside my car, sitting on the driver's seat with my messy hair and my half way unbuttoned polo . I hit myself with my own fist and knocked my head on the steering wheel, I failed to save her, it was my only chance and i lost it .

"I didn't save her, I'm late, too late" I said to myself then cried.

"I'm so stupid" I said to myself a couple of times while beating myself up.

When the car beside mine started its engine. I turned my head towards the car, then I found Amber sitting on the passanger seat, hitting the window to get my attention.

She's yelling my name as their car moves.

I quickly wiped my tears and started my engine. I drived as fast as I could not caring about what accident could kill me in any minute.

I followed their car but it was also running so fast that the streets became a racing track. I focused on their BMW car but a car overtaked infront of me and it was the same car as them, I tried to overtake but I couldn't because it was a freeway and a lot cars are on the road.

I got confused when two of the cars came in different directions. I took time to decide where Amber is, but it seems like I followed the wrong car.

I got out of my car then kicked my tire and collapsed on the streets because I failed again.

I failed again for the 400th time.

I promised Amber that she will be my first and last love.

It was 1620 when I first met her, She was as beautiful as the flowers but a bunch of guys raped her and I failed to save her , that's the first time I failed to save my angel.

I promised to the skies that in another life i would save her and for the past 400 years every year I tried to find her and I succeed to find her but failed to save her.

I've been living for 400 years just for her. She was my only love, I asked for another life, I lived to find her and only die if I'll be with her.

I will not grow old, not until I reunite with her. I will not get killed if Amber will not be with me. She's the only one that will take me to heaven, my one and only Angel.

I got home, I sat at my bed holding my head because of frustration. My room is filled with darkness not a single light is shining through.

All my failures to save her came in my mind. I was screaming and broke my mirror when I saw it.

I couldn't bear to see myself, All I see is a failure. I cannot save my only love, I'm so slow.

My hands are filled with blood because of punching the mirror. All the drops of blood are nothing to me because It'll heal anyways, It wouldn't kill me.

I leaned on my bed headboard thinking of other ways to save her.

Vanessa needs to wake up, she's the only answer to all of these. She's my only hope to save my Angel.

I fixed myself then returned to the hospital again to see how Vanessa is doing. I need to know answers, as time ticks Amber's time is fading away. Brian could kill her in no time because of what she did earlier. That psycho never runs out of demonic ideas.

As I was walking to enter the hospital a nurse approached me and said that Vanessa is awake so I rushed towards the ICU then saw Vanessa awake.

"Thank God, she's awake" I said to myself.

When I entered the room Vanessa looks confused, she doesn't know why I'm here.
