Jessie
Jason straightened up on the bed, the lazy expression gone, "What is it?"
"I just had a crazy thought" I said. Taking that hot shower must've helped as I put it together. It might sound crazy but again until yesterday getting shot was also considered crazy, "In your vision or whatever, you saw someone tryna inject you with a needle, right?"
"Right" he sounded lost and I sighed, "And Ms. H was warning us not to let them inject something in us, right? So, what if those visions you have are actually old memories?"
He nodded thoughtfully, "But my dad said he didn't know anything about these visions"
"Well, he must've known, he could be lying"
"Yeah , he could be"
"Or" I said, "It could be a huge coincidence"
Jason got up from the bed and paced around the room impatiently, "But what are the chances that I get the same vision, the day Ms. H was shot"
"I dunno Jay, maybe we should ask Chase"
He walked out the room and I followed him to his room, and he knocked, "Chase?"
"Yeah?" came the reply, but it wasn't from the room. They turned around to see Chase perched on the couch, the remote balanced on his leg. Luke was sitting beside him. The television was on but none of them seemed to be paying attention to it and Chase had a packet of chips in his hand. These boys! They can literally eat anything for breakfast as long it was edible. I was considered 'The cook' and whenever I made a new recipe from my mom's journal it was Luke who always got the first taste. I know, I know, a journal with recipes should be called a cookbook, but my mom's book also had stories about her childhood and how she met dad. I used to cry reading It, knowing that I'll never get to know who she really was.
"Jason" I chided, "Tell them about the visions"
Luke raised an eyebrow, "Huh?"
"The thing is" Jason began, "I've been having these visions kind of where I see things that never happened to me. I know it sounds delusional but it's true man. Chase, remember that day at practice when I froze In the middle of the game? Yeah, I had one of those flashes"
"No offence man" Chase said, "But that sounds fucking crazy"
He got that right; I mean who was gonna believe all this stuff? Half of what Ms. H said didn't make any sense, but right now who could we trust?
"I know" Jason agreed, "But that's not even the craziest part"
Luke stared at Jason, "Go on"
"I had a vision that I was in a lab and someone was injecting something in me, and Luke" he looked at him, "What are the chances that your mum tells us not let them inject us after she gets shot?"
