Ch 2

Mystery mans POV

I watch her as she sleeps. Carissa, she’s so beautiful, though she looks almost nothing like her mother. Her black hair standing out on the white bed sheet, her eyes closed, face relaxed, she looks so peaceful. She has been asleep for a week now and I want her to wake up so I can hug her and never let go again. I want to know what color her eyes are, how she’s been, what her life’s like, but for now I can settle for this. Watching my daughter, my family.

My phone started ringing and I pick it up, “Hello?”

“Hey boss, the boys are wonderin’ if you’re ever comin’ back, you haven’t told us where you went.”

“Hey, james, I’m comin’ back alright, but if I don’t make it back for the sale you go for me, kay?” I asked

“Alright, but you’ve got 3 days before you gotta come on back and not a minute more, ya hear?” james said.

                “Alright, see ya.”

“Take care of yourself connor.”

“Will do.”

Hanging up the phone I look at Carissa again and sigh, sitting down beside her I drift off in to a blissful, well-deserved sleep.

Cora’s POV

It was bright. Very, very bright. Was my first thought, looking around the room. Why the hell am I in the hospital? Was my second. I heard soft snoring next to me, a man he had black hair, wide shoulders, and very muscular. Weakly I lifted my hand and dropped it on his knee causing him to jump. His eyes were the color of my sisters, shock fill, and a tinge of happiness. “Hello Carissa,” his voice was deep and husky from sleep. “Hi,” I croaked and then coughed.

I motioned to my throat and he gave me a glass of water. He got it fast and sat back down. We sat in silence for a while until I spoke up, “Who are you?” I was starting to get sleepy again and had just enough time to hear, “Conner Trance, you’re dad.”
