Ch.4
Seth's POV
I arrived with the paramedics and an officer and he arrested John While a guy EMT tried to help Korey but she was terrified because of John so the guy left and a female came in and introduced herself as Emily then talked to Korey like she was a little girl which surprised me because nor Jen or I told her about Korey's brain. She got Korey to relax and lay down so she could clean Korey up then she left. I shut the door behind her then I went into the kitchen, got some water and a pain pill for Korey then went back to Korey's bedroom and I gave Jen the pill with water. Then I went into the kitchen and started making us breakfast, when I finished cooking I went to Korey's bedroom and let them know I was finished cooking, so Jen carefully helped Korey to the table and Jen sat down next to Korey with two plates of pancakes, Jen and I started eating but Korey wouldn't touch hers.
Seth: What's the matter Korey?
Korey: I don't want to be married to John anymore.
Seth: Ok.
Korey: I want to be with Jenni, I love her not John.
Seth: Ok, we can take care of that.
Korey got down from the table and walked into her bedroom then laid on her bed, I looked at Jen then she walked into the bedroom and shut the door behind her.
Jen's POV
I shut the door to Korey's bedroom then walked over to her bed then sat down, I pulled Korey into my lap when I saw her crying.
Jen: What's the matter Kor?
Korey: I'm so scared, he said he wanted me dead, what if he comes back and beats me to death.
Jen: I will never let John hurt you if he gets out.
I kissed Korey on the cheek then I took Korey's hand and we walked back out to the table then I sat down and a few minutes later Korey climbed in my lap then started eating my cut up pancake, I looked at Korey and she asked me something that surprised me.
Jen: What are you doing?
Korey: I like yours better, are you mad at me?
Jen: God no, What are you talking about?
Korey: He would get mad at me and hit me if I ate his food.
Jen: It's ok, he can't hurt you anymore.
A few minutes later Korey put a piece of pancake on the fork then fed it to me, I told Korey that I could feed myself and that's when Korey told me that she didn't care that she was going to feed me. All of the sudden I heard Seth laughing at me because Korey was feeding me. After they were done eating breakfast Korey grabbed my plate then hoped off my lap and almost fell so she caught herself but then the plate hit the floor and shattered and that's when Korey started crying and ran to the couch and hid then yelled.
Korey: No John Please don't beat me again, I'm sorry I was a bad girl.
I walked into the living room and sat down on the couch, I pulled the covers back and pulled Korey into my lap then held her tight. A few minutes later Korey calmed down then I kissed her then carried Korey into her bedroom and shut the door behind me. I sat Korey on her bed then kissed Korey again.
Jen: What's the matter baby girl?
Korey: I'm scared.
Jen: Of what Korey?
Korey: Of him coming to find me and beating me to death.
Jen: Oh Kor I will protect you, I promise you that.
