Kartik and Naira reached the hospital for Naira's checkup. They both were waiting outside for their turn. Naira was sitting silently keeping her head on kartik's shoulder.
Kartik- Naira kya hua chup chup kyun ho?
Naira- Kartik tension ho raha hai. Baby thik toh hoga na?
Kartik- Naira tum kyun tension le rahi ho? Sab thik hai aur humara baby bhi. Chalo ab smile karo baby ko accha nahi lagega agar uski mumma sad rahegi toh.
Naira gave him a smile.
Nurse-Mrs Naira Goenka aapko doctor ne bulaya hai.
Kartik helped Naira in getting up. Both went inside.
Doctor- Come Mr and Mrs Goenka have a seat. So kaisi hai aap Naira?
Naira- Mai thik hun doctor
Doctor-Aap vitamins thik se lerahi hai na?
Naira- Ji doctor
Doctor-Ok then chaliye him aapki sonography kar lete hai baby ki growth dekhne ke liye.
Kartik held Naira's hand. They both went to the adjacent room. Kartik helped Naira to lie down. Doctor applied gel on her stomach and placed the transducer over there. Slowly the image started appearing on screen.
Doctor-Woh dekho Naira aapka baby
Both Kartik and Naira were in tears. Kartik held Naira's hand tightly.
Naira- Doctor baby thik se grow kar raha haina?
Doctor-Yes Naira baby bilkul thik hai. Growth bhi kafi acchi hai.
Kartik- Yeh sound kya yeh humare baby ki heartbeat hai?
Doctor-Yes Mr Kartik..
Nurse-Doctor please jaldi chaliye ek emergency hai
Doctor-Kya hua?
Nurse-Wo Bed no 3 ki patient ka BP bohot badh gaya hai
Doctor- Oh no. Mr kartik please excuse me mai thodi der mai aati hun.
