||Personality|| Akane is a very passionate and straight forward person. Once you get to know her, and get close to her, you are quite stuck with her, as she is a completely loyal person. Akane is intense, direct and strong- and definitely has the tendency to take control of situations that are extreme. Akane loves her freedom, she doesn't mind clinginess to an extent- as she does need her space to feel free. She prefers to get things done rather quickly, and if it's slow- she'll take matters into her own hands. Akane does NOT like to be vulnerable, she will take any opportunity to cover up any compromising emotions- trying to keep up the tough look. Though, she does have a tendency to be generous, and she does forgive, but she NEVER forgets.

||Backstory|| Akane grew up in a wealthy family, her father was a fire nation general- so they lived pretty well off. Since her father went to the palace a lot, for meetings, her father would bring her so that her mother could deal with her little sister alone. Akane ended hanging around Zuko a lot. One day her father was in a meeting with Ozai and other general- and her father spoke out against a morbid plan that they were talking about enforcing. Ozai seemed to react normal, but then again,no one should trust that man. Later that night while Akane and her family was asleep in their home, a soldier sent by Ozai lit Akane's home on fire and Akane awoke to the smell of smoke, she ran to her room door and opened it, seeing fire in front of her door. Akane decided to just run through it, once she made it out she found that she was severely from her thigh to her lower calf. Akane waited for her family to come out but when they never did, she realized that they had most likely burned along with her home. So Akane limped her way to town and fell asleep in an alleyway, where the next day a particularly brutal fire nation family found her, and sold her off to some pirates. She was 12 when she ended up in the south pole, where she jumped ship and swam to land and ran to the first and only village she saw. (Where Katara and Sokka are.) Akane was taken in, but kept her bending a secret and practiced in her lonesome. Although she does have some PTSD, she never lets this past get in the way of her future.
