War Of Hearts - Minsung (angst)

I can't help but love you...

Even though I try not to...

I can't help but want you...

I know that I'd die without you.

But being with you is life threatening as well.
There is no winning in this society.

I awoke, no sun greeted me like it used to. It's brightness and colour didn't slip through the curtains and reflect onto my face.
No, the windows had no curtains...
Rotting wooden slabs covered them, allowing no one to see through, not that anyone would see anyway...

After all this place was abandoned, but...
It was the only safe place.

I felt movement beside me, causing a small smile to appear on my face.
I looked next to me to be greeted with my tired looking boyfriend, his messy brown hair almost covering his eyes, his eyes gently fluttering open, revealing his glistening brown orbs. His hand lazily moving to his eyes.

"Morning Minho." I said sweetly, falling back onto the bed...

"Come on, one of us has to head to the town today, we're running low on food." I stated, pulling the rag of a blanket off myself, practically pulling it off the other boy in return.
The brunette sighed again.

"Who's turn is it?" He asked, finally sitting up and stretching out his limbs and looking to me. I could see the small glint of worry glow in his eyes as he stared at me. The reflection of fear sparkled making me feel somewhat guilty.

"Mine." I replied, trying to act not bothered.
When my heart was racing, as bad thoughts and tragic accidents mindlessly filled my head.

"Are you sure? I can go if you want." Minho said, his tone concerned. I nodded my head as I turned my back, I looked through the tiny crevice in the wooden slabs to peak outside.

Tall trees towered, their branches and dark leafs stopping any sun or rain to get through. The dirt on the floor looked dry, and strangely uneven. Not a good surface to run on...
An occasional squirrel would run up the rotting trunks of the trees, disappearing into the different shades of green. To bring food to their families probably...
