Wanna go for a walk?

After my first couple of weeks at school, I can safely say that Landon, Hope, and MG are my friends. Lizzie still hates me, but I talk to Josie whenever I see her. When I woke up this morning I didn't have any homework, so as any logical person would do I tracked down the girl I was simping for.

"Hey Jojo," I said walking up to her as she was reading on the bench. She looked up at me and smiled, "Hey Pen," She said. I forgot how breathtakingly beautiful she was since the last time I saw her say, 14 hours ago?

"Pen?" she asked, "You good?"

"Come with me, I wanna hang out," I told her offering my hand to her. She grabbed smiling, "Well who could say no to your pretty face,"

We walked out of school, neither of us mentioning how she didn't let go of my hand, it's not like I mind. I ran my thumb across the smooth back of her hand while we walked, tracing imaginary shapes. I could see her smiling, she had a nice smile.

"Hey, Jojo?"

"Mmm?"

"Has anyone ever told you you're perfect?"

"I could ask you the same thing,"

I grabbed her shoulders and looked her in the eyes, "Whoever makes it to the water first gets to decide that," I said. She looked confused, but I took off running towards the lake.

"Oh no you don't," I heard her yell behind me. I laughed and continued to run towards the lake. I could hear the pounding of her feet and her laugh as she caught up with me. I stuck out an arm to try to push her, but she grabbed on and we both fell.

We laid on the ground laughing near the water. I looked over at Josie, "come on, we're almost there," 

I sat down on a log and patted the spot next to me. She sat down next to me and put her head on my shoulder, "I'm glad you heard me laugh at your dumb curtsey," she said looking out at the water. I grabbed her hand intertwining our fingers, "I would've noticed you around the school, you're too pretty to miss."

After a moment of silence, Josie looked at me. "I like your smile," 

"I mean I look like a turtle, but I like yours too Jojo,"

"Why do you even talk to me? I'm not nearly as cool as half the people at school."

I looked at her like she was crazy. She's literally the coolest person I've ever met (sorry hope.) "I could tell you all the reason but it would take to long." I responded smirking at her. She rolled her eyes at me "Whatever dork," she laughed.

"Josie?"

"Yeah?"

"Can I kiss you?" I asked. She stared at me for a second before saying: "Yes." 

I'd been thinking about kissing her since I met her, no one could've told me that when I leaned in and touched our lips together it would be pure bliss. Her lips were soft and gentle, kissing her was like holding her hand. 

When we were walking through the woods on our way back our hands were intertwined. I let go and ran up to a tree by a field of flowers.

"What are you doing?"

"I wanna look at the flowers," I told her before picking a few. Josie sighed and pulled out the book she had been reading when I swept her away to the forest. My fingers intricately weaved the flowers, just like when I was back home in the garden. I stood up and examined the work I'd done, a flower ring, simple as that.

I walked over to Josie ring behind my back smiling secretively. She looked up, "Oh no, what did you do Penelope?" She asked accusingly. I put my hand to my chest and faked shock, "You hurt me fair maiden," I cried kneeling on one knee in front of her. She laughed, I like her laugh. It's like an angel singing. "Mah lady," I said wiggling my eyebrows. "Mah lady," she said back trying to wiggle her eyebrows too, she gave up and laughed. I smiled at her, pulling the ring from behind my back.

"You see, now I'm nervous. Josie Saltzman, I know we kissed like 10 minutes ago, but I like you a lot." I told her, she just smiled at me. 

"Josie will you be my girlfriend?" I said really fast. She grabbed the ring from me, "Of course idiot," Josie said laughing.

...

We went back to my dorm and sat on the bed playing Mario kart. I felt my phone buzz from my bedside table and picked it up.

Hope: Where r u?

Penelope: With Jojo

Hope: WHAT

Hope: ANSWER ME

Hope: PARK YOUR WITH JOSIE

Penelope: you're*

Penelope: Sry, we're playing Mario Kart and I was racing her

Hope: Who won?

Penelope: Her:(

Hope: SIMP! she sux

Penelope: rEad

"Who's that?" Josie asked setting down her controller. "My other girlfriend," I said smiling up at her. She locked eyes with me long enough to grab my phone, "Rude, I do not suck." She said frowning at my phone. I grabbed it back from her while she continued to pout about her Mario kart skills.

"Yeah you won every time, Jo," I reassured her. "But you let me," she whined. I grabbed her chin and pecked her lips softly before whispering, "Yeah I did,"

She gasped and slapped my arm, "Ouch, Park." I got out of bed and hit her with a pillow, "Time for lunch my lady,"

"I'm gonna kill you,"

"Kinky," I said winking at her. She jumped out of bed and ran at me.

"Fuck," I screamed running out of my room. I ran through the hall and locked myself in a hall closet.  I heard Josie mumble a spell under her breath. I ran outside and waited by the door. When she burst through the door I grabbed her, spinning her around so our faces were inches apart. I smiled at her, "Hello," I said. Her face was red, there were so many reasons why. I kissed her cheek then grabbed her hand, "lunch, I'm so hungry I could eat... What does Lizzie call Landon?" I asked. She laughed, "Thrift store hobbit, just one of many. Definitely my favorite though."

"I'm so hungry I could a thrift store hobbit," I said laughing with her.
