"Yooo, you eating?" Myonghee and Eunjung came up to my table after we were dismissed for break.

"Nah, I'm just gonna stay here. I'm not that hungry," I replied. "You guys go on."

"Okay! Text us if you need us," Eunjung said before walking out of the classroom.

"Will do!"

I looked at my phone for notifications. Nope. Nothing.

Ugh, I should've just went with them. it's so boring in class,  we need more quality time afterall.

Hold on.

This is the perfect opportunity to ask them out next Tuesday. We're so close to each other now, I'm pretty certain that they won't shut me out this time, I assumed.

I got out of the classroom to look for them. As I wanted to get down the stairs, I spotted them busy chatting with each other near the staircase. Uh, okay- just right after i thought we were closer than ever, cool

Mustering up my courage, I made my way towards them, tapped their shoulder and said, "Hi, guys?"

They jumped and immediately turned towards me, their eyes wide. "T-Taeguk, can y-you not scare us like that?!"

My eyes glued onto their earrings. They put it back on. How could I not notice it?

"Hello, earth to Taeguk?"

"Oh, sorry," I tried to suppress my giggles, and i failed terribly. Their reaction was simply too funny to resist laughing. What are you guys even doing alone here? Are you guys perhaps, hiding anything from me?" I hinted and i nudged Myonghee.

"Nothing really. Really nothing. Just.. Just wanted some peace from the chaos in the cafeteria, right Myonghee?" Eunjung said followed by Myonghee nodding her head virgorously.

Yeah right. Okay.  You're lying. More like just trying to avoid me.

I nodded. "I could've just texted but, since we have the whole week to ourselves next week, do you guys want to hang out somewhere? It's been long since we done so." I asked, only to notice Myonghee and Eunjung casting worried looks to each other.

I raised my eyebrow. What are they even hiding from me? What are they thinking about?

"A-Actually, my mom had already hired a biology tutor for me and the first lesson is this Tuesday so I can't miss it," Eunjung stuttered.

"Me too, I can't go too. I have.. uh.. uh... basketball training on Tuesday," Myonghee confessed right after Eunjung.

I felt a lump in my throat. "Right, basketball training. Okay then, it's fine. We can always hang out next time, right?" I managed to find my voice again and tried to lighten up the mood a bit after seeing their worried faces. Myonghee and Eunjung nodded hesitantly.

"Uh, okay then, I'll be making my way back to class. Got something to do," I murmured, breaking the awkward tension between us. With that, I walked off in confusion.

Myonghee's POV
We watched as she walked away. Phew. Thank god she stopped asking us further.

"That was definitely a close shave! Taeguk almost found out about our intentions. We better be careful and avoid the subject from now on. I feel that Taeguk is suspicious of us already, she refused to talk about it or avoids that topic," Eunjung told me as we stood behind one of the pillars near the staircase.

"Yeah, I noticed it too. What should we do now? We can't let her know about this, she'll tell somebody for sure. We're definitely doomed after she does that," I reasoned as we got up the stairs to get to our classroom.

"I know. We'll have to figure this out as soon as possible. Who knows until when we can hide this away from her."

Little did they know that Taeguk had been near them all along, hiding in the shadows, listening to everything they were saying.

Taeguk's POV
What on earth?

What in the world was that? Tell somebody what?

Okay, they're definitely hiding something from me.

I watched closely as they walked into the classroom, too absorbed in their own conversation to even notice me walking behind them. Straightening myself, I walked in right after them.

They turned around and raised their eyebrows in sync. "Oh- I thought you were in the classroom?"

"Yeah- well I was. I went to the toilet," I lied through my gritted teeth.

"Ahh," Eunjung faked a smile. "Well then, it's still early. Do you want to play pictionary with us?"

"Oh, I would love to but I have to finish my work. I'm not done yet," I chuckled.

"Oh, okay then!"

Yeah, okay whatever. I'm done with my homework, silly, I just don't want to talk to you lol. If you're going to hide something from me, then work on your facial expressions next time. Just wait till i find out exactly what you're hiding from me.
