She gazed at the clock, 2:11am, she thought wonder if Lee's awake? She got up and pulled her nightgown down to cover herself, she walks into the primary unit, she spots him easily since hes the only one who keeps a light on for a bit...
"Lee"
He jumps, startled by his friend, he always writes home, in hopes maybe, just maybe, his older sisters are still alive.
"What Charlie?"
"You wanna escape?"
She smirks, Charlotte's dream was to be a singer, not a soldier, she was made for it. Just like Robert was made for acting. He loved it when she would sneak him out to "escape" or basically run to the edge of camp and climb the empty watchtower and hangout until 3am, then they'd sneak back so they could "wake up" at 4am. It gave them a sense of freedom, a gift they do not have. He looked up at her. He was madly in love with her, her blue eyes, her brown hair, she had it all. She was especially pretty when she'd sneak to his area in nothing but a nightgown on...
"Well, c'mon then!!"
He was snapped back into reality by her violently pulling him out of bed
"Imma coming, imma coming!"
He whined. He was shirtless, like all the boys slept. Boys would wear shorts or pants tight tank tops or shirtless, girls would wear nightgowns, that was sleeping dress code. He smirked and picked Charlotte up, but keeping her gown down
"Eep!"
"Hush!!! Do you want the other guys to see your vagina??"
"N-no!"
"Okay, then shut up!"
Sex was encouraged there. So girls weren't allowed underwear when they slept. Robert protected Charlotte from the other guys. Unlike them, he actually cared for her, "she is the only girl whose never had a baby to send home, and I'd like to keep it that way" he thought to himself as he held her close. He kicked Fusei's bed. Fusei was Charlotte's other main best friend, she relied on him for a lot.
"What lee?"
"Cover for us?"
"What's in it for me?"
Robert rolled his eyes. Fusei has always been a prankster/con artist. That's why hes so useful, hes also very intelligent, but refuses to show it. Hes always wanting something.
"I don't talk about that girl you like"
Fusei shuffles himself upright so hes sitting
"Some dude got her pregnant, I don't want her now, I only wanna date a girl who hasn't had sex with a million guys"
"Well I mean theres Charlotte.... OW"
Charlotte slaps him
"How dare."
Fusei laughs
"Nah I don't want nothing, I'll cover for ya, go kiss your gIrLfRiEnD"
Charlotte and Robert both bleh at the thought, Robert less then Charlotte.
Fusei laughs hard
"That's better then anything you could get me!"
Robert chuckles nervously,
"S-so is that a yes?"
Fusei thinks for a moment, you can see his brain working through his sky blue eyes. He was among the many guys who the buzz cut does not flatter, he grunts when he reaches up to scratch his head and only finds his scalp
"Yeah, I'll cover for yall. Just be careful like always.
