Mr. Kher's property consists almost entirely in an estate yielding an income of two thousand pounds a year. However there is a snag about this estate. This property had been entailed on a distant relation because Mr. Kher have no male heir upon whom the property could have been bestowed. Mr. Kher have five daughters and no son. This means that on the death of Mr. Kher the property would automatically pass into the hands of male relative on whom it had been entailed. This is surely a bleak prospect for the family
