Episode 8

Next morning, swati woke up although she didn't had much sleep. She ordered her weak thoughts to keep quite and started her day. She tried to keep smile on her face. She slept during the class. Mr.Shapiro woke her up. " Good morning swati!" said Mr. Shapiro. " Are you alright? Didn't get much sleep last night?" asked Mr. Shapiro. " No, sir." said swati getting up on her seat in embarrassment. Everyone was looking at her. " Can you tell me the names of Presidents of America in order?" asked Mr. Shapiro. " Yeah, Yeah....it's ummm....it's....." said swati in her sleepy tone. " It's okay, you may sit down." said Mr. Shapiro. Paxton watched her but couldn't say anything.

After school was over, ben went to swati's house for study. Ben entered the house and asked for swati. Her maid pointed at the pool. Swati was sitting there. Both of her legs in the pool and a glass of red wine in her hands.

" I thought you're not allowed to drink." said ben. " I'm still not. I just like to hold a glass of wine. It feels good. Come, Have a sit."said swati. "So, did you find that mysterious boy who kissed you?" asked ben. "Nope" said swati. "Hey ben?" " Yeah" " Can I tell you something?" " Sure" said ben. " Do you know why I ran away from the party last night?" said swati. " No, Why?" asked ben. "My mom, she had an affair with one of her colleagues. One day, I came home from school early. I had won a medal for best speech. When I went to my mother's room to saw her my medal, she was kissing him. She saw me, I saw her but I didn't said anything. I just closed the door and went straight into my room. We never talked about it. And after 6 months of that incident, she ran away with him. Living me and my father alone with nothing. That's why, whenever I try to kiss someone, a picture of my mother kissing that guy comes in front of me. And I just... I just couldn't do it. It's not that I don't wanna kiss anyone but it's just this thing always comes in front of me and haunts me." said swati. " So, you ran away because you saw that picture again?" asked ben. " No, that's the point I am about to tell you. When that guy kissed me that picture didn't appear!" said swati. "That's...ummm...that's" ben tried to find perfect words but couldn't. " Weird" said swati. "Yeah, weird" said ben. "So, What are you gonna do now?" asked ben. " I have to find that guy." said swati. " Okay, How?" asked ben. "That I don't know but I'll find my way." said swati. "Will you help me? You're the only person I know and don't worry about dad. He has no problem with it."she asked. "Okay, Do you remember what he wore?" asked ben. " Yeah, How will I forget that! He wore a brownish jacket and a black tshirt and he wore a mask. Black mask. Yeah, That's it. That's all I remember." said ben. " I'll have to see if I could find any photos from last night." said ben scrolling on his phone. " Nope, I didn't took pictures. Let me ask devi" said ben. "Nooooo! Don't tell anyone about this. I wanna keep it low key right now. I'll tell them after I'm 100% sure." said swati. " Tell then just keep it between us." said swati. " Okay" replied ben. "Let's study now." said swati. Both went to swati's room.

Next day at school, ben searched devi's phone for and transfered few into his phone. He came home and show them to swati. "Nope. He's not in any of this" said swati scrolling through pictures and suddenly she saw something. She zoomed in the photo. "I found him." said swati. "Where?" asked ben. "See, In that brown jacket." said swati. "Yeah, but I don't know he is. Wait a minute?" said ben. He opened instagram.That brown boy in jacket was PAXTON?" said ben in a shock. "What? Paxton?" asked swati. "Yeah, see this" said ben. She went blind for a moment. "But I said no to him." said swati. "About what?" asked ben. "He asked me out and I said no. Why would he do such thing even after I said no?" asked swati. "I....I....I don't know." said ben. " And I thought I finally found someone. How stupid I was!" said swati and was about to cry. "No, you're not. You're just excited. I was just like you when I started dating shira. Then as time went by, there was just me. But then I found devi. Can you believe she was my nemesis?" said ben. "What? Really?" asked swati. "Yeah. We used fight like cats and dogs. We couldn't stand each other. But now, it feels like she has become a part of me. Every morning when I woke up, there's just one thought in my mind, when I'll meet her and she'll hug me and kiss me." said ben and smiled. Swati smiled too. "So, I was just telling that you don't if that person in cheating with you or is seriously into you. You gotta find that out yourself. I don't know much about paxton, all I know is that he is a crush of many girls in school and I've seen him with many girls. So, In the end I just wanna say that it's your decision. If you think that he is the one then you should make some effort to know him. You don't wanna regret it, do you?" asked ben. "Yeah, you're right and I know exactly how to do that. Thanks,ben. You've been really great friend to me. I wish everyone could have a friend like you."said swati and hugged him. Ben was talking like shakespear. I guess devi's affection towards him has changed the way he used to look at things.

Swati went to paxton's house that evening. She rang the bell. Rebecca opened the door. "Hey, swati, how are you?" greeted rebecca. "I'm fine." said swati. "C'mon in." said rebecca. "Have a seat. Can I get you something?" asked rebecca. "No, I'm good." said swati. "So, how's study going?" asked rebecca. "It's going great." said swati. Swati started looking here and there. Rebecca understood that swati was looking for paxton. "He'll be home any minute." said revecca. "Oh no, I was just looking at the....umm....the...that painting. You made that?" askes swati. "Yeah, I loved painting when I was a little girl then I started drawing sketches of dresses." said rebecca. "Yeah, right, sketches. I've came here to tell you that I've talked with dad and he said he'll talk to him. I'm gonna need some sketches and photos, my friend has asked for them." said swati. "I have sketches but I don't have any photos. I've send them to other people." said rebecca. "We can shoot now. In my phone. It captures photos like any nikon camera. If you don't mind?" asked swati. "Okay, let's go to my room. I don't know if the outfits will fit you but let's give it a shot." said rebecca. "Yeah." said swati. Swati put on the outfits and they fitted her perfect. Rebecca shot some photos. Swati gave poses like a runaway model. "Woah, this poses are amazing. Where did you learned all this?" asked rebecca. "It's just something I picked up from fashion magazines. It finally paid off." said swati and laughed. "Alright, 3 more left." said rebecca. Paxton heard swati laughing and opened the door slowly. He saw swati and was surprised. She saw paxton and smiled. He stood at the door during the remaining photoshoot. Swati showed some amazing poses. Paxton was stunned. Photoshoot ended and all of them came downstairs to get some drinks. After the drinks, rebecca wen to her room to get swati's phone. " Hi" said swati. "Hey" replied paxton. "You looked really nice in those outfit." " Thanks." said swati. Rebecca came down with swati's phone and handed her. "Thanks, I'll see you later. And I'll send extra copies to you tomorrow. Okay, bye."said swati. "Bye" said rebecca. "Hey, paxton, Can you drive me home? My dad is not here and ben is busy so if you could just give me a ride?" asked swati. "Yeah, yeah, sure. Let me get the keys." said paxton. They get into the car. Swati asked paxton to drive her so she could talk to him.
" Hey paxton?"
"Yeah"
" I wanna talk to you about something. Actually about last night."
"Okay"
"I don't know why you kissed me but"
"How did you know I kissed you?"
"I did a research"
"Okay, go on"
" So I was just saying that I don't know why you kissed me but I would to know more about you."
"About me? What'd you wanna know?"
"Anything, anything you like to share with me."
"Right now?"
"No,no. Not now, how about tomorrow?"
"Are you asking me out?"
"No, I am just giving my answer to what you ask me few days ago."
Paxton thought what he asked for a moment and remembered.
"Oh that! Okay, umm, how about some pizza? Do you like pizza?"
"Yeah, I like pizza."
"Okay, I'll pick you up at 7 tomorrow"
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow. Bye." said swati and came out of the car. Paxton turned the car back home. He thought swati will yell at her but it turned out, swati said yes. Ben saw swati and paxton together. As soon as she entered into her house, ben texter her.

Ben    : So, How did it went?
Swati : Great. I'm going out with him
              tomorrow.
Ben    : Oh! That was quick!
Swati : 😉
