- May 2008 -

It was the last red carpet premiere night for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.

The cast were all tired of smiling to the cameras and posing for pictures. They were exhausted in giving interviews to the press and answering same questions over and over again. How are they feeling? Are they excited to see the product of their months and months of hard work? How does it feel to return to the set with the same people as before and to work with the new people in the cast?

But, nevertheless, they were ecstatic. Because, it has been a week now since the movie was released and they haven't received any negative feedbacks. The box office earnings continued to rise everyday. In fact, the movie earned higher than what the cast and crew expected for the first week of its theater run which was, for them, already a huge success. Because there were some doubts that the movie would even reach a six-digit gross in the box office by the time its run reach its end, considering that sequels rarely matched the success of their predecessors. And, let's face it, their first one was more than a success-- it was a box-office smashing success. Yet, now, with just a week through their theatrical run, the studio and the director of Caspian were discussing its sequel.

Everyone was buzzing with happiness.

But there were two people who weren't.

"What the bloody hell's wrong with you, William?" Anna demanded, her vision starting to blur with her suppressed tears. Her voice vibrated around the comfort room she and her boyfriend were in.

"What's wrong with me?" William raised his voice back at her. His voice was so loud that the mirrors on the wall almost shook. Thankfully, the walls were soundproof, or else, the press would come barreling through the doors. But even though if the people back in the theater could hear them, the both of them couldn't care the slightest.

"First, my girlfriend kissed someone in front of me," the blonde-haired actor said. "And now, she's flirting with him for everyone to see. And you're asking what's wrong with me?"

"Will--"

"I'm bloody jealous, Anna!"

"For God's sake, Will! That kiss was just an act!"

How many times did they have this conversation before? How many times did she have to explain it so that he could get it in his thick head that her kissing scene with Ben meant nothing to her?

"For you maybe! But what about to him?" Will demanded.

Anna threw up her hands in the air. "He's an actor, too, William! He knows it's not real!"

"An actor who confessed to you that he bloody likes you!"

"Oh my god!" Anna had to stop herself from clawing her face with her perfectly manicured nails in frustration.

"And you flirting with him--"

"I'm not flirting with him!" she finally screamed. "I'm only cozing up to him because we're promoting a damn movie! We're in the showbiz industry, Will. Don't you still get it?"

"Oh, right," William said coolly. "I forgot that your career is more important than me. Than us."

It felt like all the air had been sucked out of that comfort room.

William went still the moment those words left his mouth, realizing too late.

Anna felt like her body went ice cold.

"How dare you," her voice was barely above a whisper.

He surged forward to take Anna into his arms and apologize and maybe kill himself later for those damn words.
