I hear screaming and yelling. I try my hardest to block it out with my pillow but I just can't.

I unlock the window latch and climb out. The moon casts and eerie light and shadow across the trees. I run across the streets, coming to a shuffled stop in front of my secret walking place I go for comfort. I ignore the "No Trespassing" sign and walk through the brush to a old dusty trail that only few use. In the night the moon is making everything seem so haunting.

The leaves cast patterns and shadows on the ground. I walk for a mile or so just looking at them. Then I come to a bench that is wooden and old. I gently sit down, and I hear the creaks from bench.

I stare at the stream, breathing in the cool night air that I used to remember as a child before my parents started to fight. And the divorce. But the air smells different. As if there is ammonia. "maybe the farmers are spraying their plants?" I think to myself. The smell gets closer to me. Maybe it's just a breeze? I close my eyes to relax for a moment to get my senses straight.

A tight hand is wrapped around my neck and a terrible smelling cloth is placed around my face and nose. I struggle for breath, but that keeps clouding my brain. The last thing I remember in my struggle is a blindfold placed over my eyes.
