The Angel Queen

♦️ Chapter Six ♦️

After the break, they knew they would have to continue soon. The Royals were not disqualified in fear of Lee's rage. They knew that she would be more pissed if they were. No one wanted to die today.

Lucy glanced at the balcony where some Fairy Tail members stood. Some were glaring up and them, other avoided eye contact. The most powerful mages of Fairy Tail were missing though. Not one to be seen. Just a bunch of extras.

She sighed in annoyance. Whatever they do, Fairy Tail will just see them as the bad guys. Especially since she joined. She was tired of thinking she had to prove to them she wasn't weak. She wasn't weak. Period. She never was and she knew that now. So what she wasn't the most damaging mage back then, no one else could be a celestial wizard except the few that were. And she continued to grow with them, so why was she singled out. She couldn't be the weakest in Fairy Tail, so why did they all come after her?

She shook her head. She didn't want to think about it too much, she's spent the last years forgetting the things they did to her and making memories with her new family. She had everything where she was now, no one should bring her down. She would prove to herself that she is better then they think. Lucy smiled at the blood splattered arena. "Even fairies fall, but Angel's never die."

"Huh? What did you say, Lucy?" A chipper Aimee asked.

"Oh nothing sorry, just excited for when I can fight."

"That's the spirit! You've always been crazy powerful, no one was there to help you realize your potential! I'm glad Lee found you as soon as she did!"

Aimee always made Lucy feel better, she was the nicest person you would ever meet.

"I'm glad too." Lucy looked fondly at her members. "I love you all so much! I'll fight for us and I won't let you down!"

Lee had found her way by Lucy and Aimee and put a hand on each of their shoulders. "You could never let us down. Every choice and decision you make is only yours to judge. We'd support you no matter what the outcome is."

Lucas patted the angel queen on the head. "Aren't you a cutie! We're family so don't worry about it! We, of course, would exact our revenge if some crazy thing happened and you lost."

The magic council let the announcers know that instead of continuing the fights at the moment, they were delaying them so everyone could get healed up and rested. In other words, wait until fairy tail is healed because that's the battle everyone wants.

The battle match up was rigged. They put who ever would bring the most press and attention against each other. If their is a known dispute between guilds, mages are put against each other. It's definitely more politics behind the scene. But there is the occasional match for entertainment purposes only, such as the Mirajane and Jenny fiasco last games.

"Those dumbasses seriously havent dropped out yet." Andrew sighed disdianfully. "These games really are pointless for us."

"Sometimes I wonder why you came." Lucy giggled. "You might as well get a good nap in since we'll be waiting a while."

"Oh, it shouldn't be too long. Physical injuries are easier to heal then ones coated in magic. I suspect at least thrirty minutes with all those pro healers over there."

"Do we even have a healer?" Lucy questioned.

"Ya you."

Her jaw dropped. "Asjdnikendjskjdjrlf! What? Since when?"

"Lucy, Lucy, Lucy....you're telling me you havent learned your healing abilities yet? You're a goddamn Angel Queen!!" Lee facepalmed. "I guess good to know what we have to work on."

"Hey! I've been- well I was- you know I was thinking about- I didnt knowwww!" Lucy trued to make an excuse."

They all laughed, Lucy included at her obliviousness to her own powers.

"Well that settles it! You'll learn in the next thirty minutes!" Lee exclaimed.

Lucy's jaw dropped, "Whatt? HOW AM I GOING TO LEARN IN 30 MINNUTES??"

Aimee patted her on the shoulder. "You just will, Lucy!"
