SIX; NESSIE

BELLA MADE HER WAY over to me and Jasper, she had Edward by her side. The news of my pregnancy had flown round the Cullens house faster than we can run. Thankfully Bella already knew, which means we didn't need to have the awkward chat. I did feel like I was totally stealing her thunder though, I mean she's just been through all this and here I come topping her already rare phenomenon, just my luck - whoops.

"So what's this I hear about you knocking my sister up?" Bella pretended to punch Jasper on the nose. Truthfully it didn't look like he knew exactly what to say, she was a newborn with heightened emotions and in reality she could have been being serious.

He held his hands up in defence. "Hey, it wasn't me doing all the work"

How cheeky. I playfully hit him on the shoulder. "Jasper!"

Quite honestly, I was getting bored of hugs now. I think Bella's was the last one I had to get. Emmett almost broke me inside the house. She pulled me towards her harshly, clearly not used to her new found strength. "Congratulations Scar, I cant wait for Renesmee and your little one to play together one day"

In the corner of my eye I saw Edward and Jasper exchange a few words and shake each other's hand, such a boy thing to do.

I laughed into her hair. "Me too. They're gonna coordinate right? They must!" They would be so cute.

She pulled away, nodding. "Absolutely" It was apparent from the smell of her that they had just came back from hunting. "Speaking of which-" she looked around. "Where is she?"

Ah, the thing I was looking the most forward to. This is the part where Jacob would be forced to tell Bella, who hadn't seen Renesmee yet, that he had some sort of protective bond over her. So yeah, I was excited.

I grabbed her hand. "You'll love her" we walked towards the Cullens residence. "She's amazing, like literally so amazing. And beautiful too - she looks like you" I was gushing because I was nervous, but Bella didn't know that. We stepped inside the house. By the prominent wet dog smell, Jacob had gotten here a few minutes ago. Great.

"Slow down Scarlett, she's not going anywhere" We jolted into the living room, where everyone sat.

Bella locked eyes with Jacob and ran over to him, pulling him into a tight hug. "I can't believe you're still sticking around. It's nice to see you"

He looked shocked at her appearance. "Wow, I didn't think you'd look so human" And what - we all look like blood sucking vampires? He paused, looking at her very prominent crimson red eyes. "They eyes are still creepy however"

She laughed. "They'll fade, don't worry" Pausing, it almost looked like she was sniffing the air. Her hand shot across her face. "I didn't expect you to smell so, dog like" Now at least she knew what we were talking about. It was bad.

He smiled. "Top dog right here" Oh dear.

Bella looked around the room for Renesmee, her face falling when she didn't see her. "Where is she?"

Jacob put a hand up. "Maybe it's best if you keep your distance for now"

I glanced up at Jasper, who was already looking down at me smiling. The show was about to begin.

Bella was very clearly filled with newborn hormones. "And what does my child have to do with you?" She basically spat at him.

Everyone exchanged glances. Edward was a little too happy.

On queue, Rose walked into the room holding Renesmee. She was cooing and grabbing a hold of her hair as usual, Bella looked in love. "She's so beautiful"

Even a blind person could see the way Jacob was acting when Bella gently took Renesmee. His whole posture changed and became a protective stance. Bella looked up at Carlisle for guidance. "She's so big. How long was I out for?"

He nodded. "Her growth rate is spectacular. We're not sure how to measure it quite yet"

Ren lifted her hand up to Bella's cheek, showing her ability to her mother. Bella gasped and looked at Edward. "What was that?"

He was a proud father. "She's gifted"

Jacob shifted nervously beside her. "Alright, I think that's enough for one day"

Bella's mood instantly changed from love to anger. Obviously reading Jasper's mind, Edward swiftly walked over and took Renesmee from Bella. "Jacob has something he wants to tell you"

Now that Renesmee was safe, everyone could relax. I smirked. "You are going to love this Bella"

He genuinely looked scared. "You see...it's a wolf thing...I can't control it Bella"

She already knew what he was going to say but before he could actually say it, she had him by the hair and was dragging him out of the house. I quickly followed, as did the rest of us. He was thrown to the stones. "What did you do Jacob?"

Bella was in a pure rage. Jacob was quivering. "It's not what you think"

She leapt forward, punching him in the face. He fell to the floor. "You imprinted on my daughter?!"

"It wasn't my choice"

"She's only a baby Jacob!" This was fun.

"You know it's not like that, okay? Do you think I'd still be alive if it was?"

Edward smiled next to me. "You know, I'm still debating it"

"You need to stay away from her" Bella snapped and booted him in the stomach, he folded over onto the stones, Leah and Seth appeared behind him in the tree line - he stood them down and claimed he was fine. The scenes before me say otherwise.

"Nessie needs me"

That was it. Bella snapped. "You nicknamed my daughter after the Loch Ness Monster?!"

I was honestly debating going down and helping him, it seemed like he was in pain but then I remembered him icing me out after I transitioned and those feelings dissipated quickly.

He held his arm up, afraid he would be beaten anymore. "Please Bella, all I want is the best for you both. I promise I'll do absolutely everything in my power to keep her safe. You know I will"

The argument hadn't ended the way that I wanted at all. Jacob was in an alliance with the Cullens, just like before. I still wasn't sure if I trusted the werewolves totally but Edward said Jacob was telling the truth about imprinting, so I supposed I would need to now.

The only annoying thing was how Jake hogged Ren. Some of us wanted cuddles too. It was so strange, I actually slept at night now. I didn't have to but it felt way more comfortable than sitting up and holding Renesmee. They had even made a special bed for me and Jasper to sleep in together.

This whole pregnancy thing wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to me, I was getting used to it and couldn't wait until she was born. Then we would all be happy and healthy. We would be a very strange coven, of course, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
