Chapter 38

Author's POV

"Y/n you okay?" Nayeon asked as soon as they arrived the mansion of the Im's family

Y/n let out a heavy sigh and hold Nayeon's hand tightly

"I'm nervous"Y/n said as Nayeon can feel how cold and shaky is Y/n's hand right now

"I'm here, whatever happen, I will stay with you"Nayeon said softly making Y/n calm down herself a bit

"Unnie let's go"Seo Yoon spoke and touch the bell button as the three girls wait patiently

Suddenly a not so old woman open the door and her eyes get teary after seeing them

"Nayeon, Seo Yoon"She called the two girls as all of them hugs each other so tight

'It's their mom'Y/n thought while standing there waiting for them

After they pull away the woman looks at Y/n with a smiles making Y/n quickly bowing to her showing some respect

"You must be Y/n, come in"She said and Y/n nods her head before following the two sister inside

They sat on the couch while Y/n's heart started to beat fast out of nervousness. No sight of their father yet making Y/n feels more nervous

Nayeon hold Y/n's hand after seeing the shaky hands

Suddenly she saw an old man walking towards them looking sick with a help from their maid holding onto the man as he slowly sit on the couch infront of them

But the two siblings just stick on the couch not bother to greet him

"Nayeon"He called Nayeon as his voice tone getting soft making Nayeon  face the old man

Shockingly, he started to cry making Y/n looks at Nayeon

"I'm sorry"He slowly stood up trying to walk towards the three girl making Nayeon and Seo Yoon getting up from their seat holding onto his arm

"I'm such a terrible father, please forgive me, I regret everything that I did back then, please forgive me"He said while crying uncontrollably

Y/n just sitting there froze

"D-dad please sit down first, you can't stand up too long"Seo Yoon spoke in begging voice but the man resist and walk in front of Y/n

Y/n quickly getting up from her seat standing up and bow towards him

"Y-Y/n"He called Y/n's name and she slowly face the man 

Suddenly he kneel in front of Y/n making everyone gasp and Y/n took a step back

"I'm really sorry"He said and cry again making Y/n speechless

"I know it's hard to forget about it, but please forgive me, I regret it so much, I destroy my daughter's happiness, I don't wanna make the same mistake anymore, please take care of her"He begged and Seo Yoon walk towards him pulling his arm up but he still resist

Y/n glance at Nayeon and saw the girl quietly sobbing seeing her father like that making Y/n feels bad and sad

"S-sir please get up, I forgive you"Y/n said and he looks up at Y/n

"Thank you, thank you so much Y/n"He said and Y/n signalling Seo Yoon to help him get up

The girl help her father getting up and Nayeon quickly hug him while crying

Y/n feelings a mix emotion, she feels happy, sad and worried at the same times

Is the man really sincere? Or it was just a acting like how he did back then, it's hard for Y/n to believe it because of the past
