"Ok, everything's set in place right?" I asked my best friend, Jungwoo over the phone.
He hummed. "Everything's under control," he said. "I'm on my way to pick you up now, be ready!" I smile as I thought about our master plan.
"Oh my God, Jungwoo! It's really happening! We're about to have our first kisses!" I squealed. I really couldn't contain my excitement.
I heard Jungwoo laugh. "Yeah, it's true Soojin, everything's going to be perfect!" He said.
"Ok, you focus on driving here. I'll see you soon, 'mkay?" I nodded my head even though he wouldn't see it.
He clicked his tongue, "Gotcha Cap'. I'll see you soon." We both ended the call and went back to preparing myself for the events of today.
Oh! You're probably confused. Well, today is a special day. A VERY special day. Today is the day Jungwoo and I finally have our first kiss.
But don't think we're going to kiss each other! Oh no, for heaven's sake no.
I'm going to have my first kiss with my longtime crush, Mark Lee. I've liked him since seventh grade. We're pretty close friends but we don't hang out like Jungwoo and I do.
But tonight's going to change all of that.
I, Hwang Soojin am going to kiss Mark Lee. With multiple practices on my hand and after watching countless videos on kissing, I'm pretty sure I got this in the bag.
Jungwoo and I have thought about practicing on each other but then that would totally degrade that first kiss magic. So instead of doing that we've decided to help each other kiss our crushes. We tried to execute many plans and after many failures, we finally came up fail-proof plan.
This plan is almost unmistakably the best one we've come up with. Now that I'm talking about it this is probably A V+. We've failed so many times we started to go down the alphabet with plus signs for the third time.
"Soojin! Jungwoo's here!" My mom called out to me.
"Okay!" I say back. "It's go time," I hurry to gather my things. As I left my room, I grabbed my seven chap-sticks and stuffed them all into my purse. I was ready, sevenfold.
I rushed down the stairs and out the door after saying goodbye to my mom. While running out of my house I saw Jungwoo's black car parked in front of my house. I smiled as I ran to the other side of the car and hopped in the passenger's seat.
"Hey," I breathed out as I got settled into his car and put my purse in the back seat.
"Hey, how do I look?" he asked me. I turned around and looked at his outfit.
