The Morning After (Chapter 9)

So Rossweisse wants you to stop messing with the dead. Maybe it won't be such a bad idea after all the only thing is, you really don't know much else. I mean you had odd jobs before like farm work for people who needed help, but you never had an actual job daily. And the money you did make was the farm work or selling jewelry from the dead that you have risen.

It was early in the morning when you look at the clock of the love hotel that you're staying in. You still feel so bad that you took Rossweisse here, but you never knew places like this exist. Well at least they were never called love hotels back then.

Rossweisse was fast asleep next to you. This was the first time you have shared a bed with anyone especially a woman. It felt awkward as hell maybe, because you guys just started dating and now you two are in bed together. Yet there was only one bed and Rossweisse was fine sharing the bed with you. She told you, she didn't expect you to sleep on the cold floor.

She looked so beautiful as she slept. And this is your first time having a girlfriend and you have no idea how to act. I mean, you have spied on those female gods before with your old friend Byek while they were taking a bath. But after things went haywire, girls were the last thing on your mind.

Your father well not your actual father. The one who taught you how be a necromancer, he told you to throw away worldly desires and all you need is your work. It was a fruitless thing to do now as you started to think about it.

He had you under his control for the longest time and maybe, he still does right now. Maybe that is why you are running from him, you know if you speak about him, he comes running to bring you back and start the process all over again. Yet once you saw Rossweisse, your mind broke the control. Maybe, because you never saw such beauty for the longest time. Her beauty can be compare to the goddesses where you came from.

Now your old friend Byek is back for revenge once more. You have no idea where he found you at. You don't even know who the others hooded figures were either. Could they be long life friends that you played with back then? Did Byek lie to them for they could turn against you as well? Or did he just recruit people over the years?

You don't even know if your actual father is even still alive. Like you mentioned before gods and goddesses they don't die. The only time one can die if another god kills them. Guess gods are powerful enough to kill other gods. No one still knows who killed Byek's father. But he blames you and your father when your father took over the title of God of the Dead.

You wonder how your father is doing if he is alive. Is he looking down at you from above? Does he know all the things you have done? Is he disappointed with the actions you have taken? He wanted you to have a normal life, but your life isn't normal at all.  Your life is pretty much messed up to the very core now.

"Good morning" Rossweisse yawns rubbing her eyes.

"Morning."

"So what are we going to do now?" She asks.

"Well you are going to go back home. Myself, I will find a place to stay at hopefully. I doubt I will be wanted at your place." You chuckle.

"What do you mean?" Rossweisse sits up.

"Don't you live with the Rias's household well, I guess Issei place?"

"Huh?"

"Issei told me and the only Red Dragon, I know well heard of is under Rias household."

"He doesn't know how to be quiet. And no, I actually don't live with them. I mean  I am friends with them, but I have my own place."

"So you never wanted to her under her household?" You scratch your head.

"I had a chance actually, because Odin left me here and I felt pretty much alone and Rias offered me to be part of her household, but I kindly declined it for some reason. I wonder sometimes if I should have joined" Rossweisse laughs.

"Is that why you became a teacher?" You ask.

"Mostly I was basically a bodyguard to Odin, but like I said he left me here. He's a dirty perv anyways. Good riddance I say."

"Never expected him to be a dirty old man. I met him once actually."

"You did?"

"You know how I told you about how I went to visit the Greek gods? Well they weren't the only ones, I went to see Norse gods as well."

"Seriously? What did you do to meet him?"

"Technically, he met me or we met together at the same time? Well the younger me, I tried to spy on the Norse goddesses beauty and right next to me was Odin himself trying to spy on them as well during their baths."

"And now, I am dating a perv myself." Rossweisse shakes her head.

"Hey, I was young and curious! Well he saw me and smiled, chuckled and nodded his head to the view. And then went back to watching them. Was kinda odd because the Greek gods chased me out." You laugh.

"Yeah that sounds like something, he would do. So even back then, he a dirty old perv." Rossweisse sighs.

"Nothing really changes does it?"

"Not all the time." Rossweisse said.

She is right though being a God lot of things don't change at all. Your personality usually stay the same for a long time. Maybe it can be said to the  humans as well they don't change as well unless something happens to them that makes them change.

"I guess we should get going then. We only had this room for last night."

"Alright and you're coming to live with me." Rossweisse stood up.

"I'm what?" You said shockingly.

At least things has calm down for the time being, but for how long? There is two threats out there that may be looking for you.

And Odin has never changed in his life time it has seem. When you met him and all the way when Rossweisse met him years later.
