second thoughts and an UNO game

          We all came together and rented a private jet, a big chunk out of my wallet. We were all really hyped to go to the Island, we were also excited to ride in a private jet, OJ said that it was fair that whoever paid the most got to chose their spot first, I had paid for one fourth of this trip before OJ had said that, so I got to pick my seat first, lightbulb had seen me pay for one fourth of the trip, so she paid for another fourth, then she somehow convinced test tube and fan to pay for the other fourths of the trip,I was extremely surprised at lightbulbs convincing abilities. I was kinda ticked off that everyone else besides me, lightbulb, test tube, and fan didn't have to pay anything, but OJ said that everyone had to pay us $50, that made me feel a little better, but it still didn't make up for the amount that I had to pay. The private jet we rented was 6 to a row, since we were the only one who paid, we chose the front row, apple and marshmallow didn't have to pay us because they had paid for a pilot , they also got to chose their seats, lightbulb used her persuasive powers and got them to sit near us. So far the plane ride was going great. I was playing a simple game of Uno with all of my friends, so far lightbulb only had 3 cards, I had half of the deck,  test tube had 5, fan had 10, apple had 2, and marshmallow had 17. Some people say that if you have more cards then you definitely will lose, but I saw it in a different way. The more cards you have, the more cards to make it so your opponent has even more cards than that. So far I had 4 draw fours, 10 skips, 7 reverses, 14 draw twos, and a bunch of other cards to use, lightbulb was on my right, and marshmallow was on my left, right now it was my turn, then marshmallows, then test tubes, then fans, then apples, then lightbulbs, then back to me, right now light bulb seemed to be a bigger threat than marshmallow, so I played a reverse, at the beginning of the game lightbulb had persuaded me to show her my hand in exchange for a look at her hand, I agreed, and now I knew that lightbulbs last cards were green and blue, so I played a red reverse, lightbulb groaned in frustration as she drew her card, then smiled wide, apple had played a red 5, at the exact second she let go of the card, me, fan, and test tube shouted in unison, we yelled UNO! Right in her face, "oops, I forgot." she said while picking up two cards from the deck. Everyone else played a number card, fan had made test tube lose a turn, so now it was marshmallows turn, she looked at me, then I turned to lightbulb, we all nodded, then marshmallow played a draw four, then I played one of mine, then lightbulb played hers, all targeted towards apple, what we didn't know was that apple had drawn a draw four, so she played hers, fan had predicted an upcoming attack, so he saved one of his draw fours, we all looked at test tube. Test tube was amazed that we all pulled that off, but she knew that she was going to have to draw 20 cards.  Marshmallows turn again, she played a number card, then I went, I had a blank, and I figured that I should use a dynamite with the color that I had the most of, which was green, I played it down and called dynamite green, at the same second, I slapped down a thick pile of cards, I gave fan all of the draw 2 because he was the farthest away from me, and then split the rest for lightbulb and apple. I was almost done with my cards, a bunch of blue, a couple of reds, only 2 yellows, 3 blanks, one wild, and 3 draw fours, I had a plan, I basically tuned out of the game until it was my turn. When I looked back at the game, everything was basically the same, except test tube only had 1 CARD LEFT! How did she even get there?! I looked through the discard pile and noticed that test tube had played a blank and used it as a discard all yellow, apparently someone forget to shuffle the deck, and test tube was lucky enough to get all of the same color, I decided to act on her, I played a dynamite blue, then test tube gave up her final card! And won! I forgot that lightbulb told me that test tube only had a blue left. We all gave test tube what we offered at the beginning of the game to the inevitable winner, I gave test tube a Slim Jim from the assortment of snacks that I brought, marshmallow gave her a Dr. fizz, apple gave her a bundle of grapes, fan gave her one of his many spare phones, and lightbulb gave her a gummy worm bag. After we gave her her winnings, the pilot said that we were close to landing, I couldn't wait! Everyone else seemed to be as jittery as me, so I decided to look for the people who weren't, I noticed test tube wasn't excited, but that was normal, then I noticed that lightbulb wasn't as joyous as she usually is when we go on a trip, I decided to calm down. The pilot apple and marshmallow paid was actually pretty nice, he checked if we weren't sick every half a hour or so, he would get pillows for the people who were sleeping. Now the pilot was counting down until we hit the ground, I decided to follow this guy on social media because he was cool, we all decided to hire him for the trip back. If we ever got back...

Hey, don't get me wrong, I was excited.

I just couldn't keep the sneaking suspicion that this island was as dangerous as the ads said, that I would die, miles away from my home, my friends, everything.

I was scared.

I shouldn't be scared, lightbulb needs me to stay strong. I thought to myself. I looked at lightbulb, it was amazing how bubbly she could be during times of stress, I made a promise to myself, I will never leave lightbulb alone by herself, just like her parents did.  I knew what her parents did, and I swore to never do that to anyone, especially lightbulb. 

For now I decided it was best to calm myself down, I was okay, I can stay strong for my friends, now and for the rest of my existence.
