“Look Addison. There goes the winner.” a small girl with white hair looks up at the bridge from her cage.

“Sit down Audrey. The man is coming.” her brother pulls at her arm. A large man walks up to their cage. He’s holding chains in his hand. At the end of those chains are two teens with brown hair in tan school uniforms. A boy and a girl, just like them.

“Listen up brats. The cages are filling up and it’s crowded. Since you two little shits aren’t taking up much space, these two are gonna be sharing the cage with you.” he yanked on the chain, and opened the cage door. “Get in there you two!” he pushes the teens into the cage. Addison and Audrey hold each other and scoot back into a corner of the cage. “I’ll be back with food in a few.” the man slams the cage door shut, and locks it.

“Great, we have to share a cage with a couple of little kids.” the brown haired girl says.

“Hey! We aren’t-” Addison yells, but his sister silences him and shakes her head.
“Listen up you little ghost-looking freaks. You two better keep your asses on that side of the cage. If I see even a single hair come over here, your necks will be broken before you even make it downstairs.” the brown haired boy says to them with a scowl on his face, and sits back against the wall of the cage.

“You don’t scare me. You won’t lay a finger on us.” Addison said. The brown haired boy reached over, pulling at Audrey’s hair, and yanking her over to his side.

“Ow! Stop it! Stop!” Audrey cried.

“Let go of her right now!” the brown haired boy smiled at Addison and threw Audrey towards him. Addison held his sister, looking at her with a worried expression, and then scowled at the horrible teen. “If we end up in the same match, I’m coming after you first.” he said, holding his sister tightly. The two brown haired teens laughed.

The sound of squeaking wheels echoed through the large room. A lovely aroma that was all too familiar filled the air. The man was back with a wagon filled with boxes of pizza. He rolled up towards the twins cage, slid a box in through an opening between the bars, and walked away. Addison went to reach for the box, but the teens grabbed it, sliding it to their side.

“Hey! What do you think you’re doing? We have as much right to some as you do!” Addison yelled.

“Just let them have it.” Audrey said.

“But we’re gonna starve!”

“It’s alright. Just let them have it.” the teens both grabbed a half of the pizza, gobbling it down. The girl threw her crusts back into the box. When they were done eating, she picked up the box and threw it at Addison. He stood up, but his sister pulled him back down and they shared the crusts.

Hours passed, and the large room was quiet. Almost everyone was asleep. It was cool and horribly uncomfortable on the hard concrete floor. The twins were huddled together in the corner of their cage waiting for the night to pass by.
