chapter six. Mission

(Kakashi's point of view)

I woke up on Iruka's lap, from what I could see out the window it was early morning, Iruka was asleep so I tried my best to get up without waking him. I heard a loud knock on the door, I walked over and opened the door only to be met face to face with a ANBU black ops agent with a dog mask, "The Hokage has requested you in her office," he said "ok, thank you for informing me," he nodded and in a gust of leafs he was gone,

I shut the door then walked over to Iruka, "hey, wake up," I said shaking him a bit, he woke up and groaned out "whyyyyyyyy?" "You got to go to work," I said poking him, he sighed and sat up "ok, ok, i'm up!" He whined,

We got ready then he went off to work and I went to the Hokage's office,

I knocked on the door then went in when I heard a 'come in', "you wished to see me lord Hokage?", she looked up and said "yes, I have a mission to assine you, there's a scroll that needs to be sent to the village hidden in the mist, it's a two ninja mission, I would like you to take Iruka," "what about Iruka's class?" "I found a sub, but right now with everything going on you and him are the only ones able to do it, it's a A-ranked mission, there well be ninja trying to stop you," "when do we leave?" "In a couple of minutes," she said waving her hand as a way to tell me to leave,

I left her office and went to find Iruka, he was walking out of the school, "hey Iruka did you hear about are mission?" I asked Iruka, he looked over and smiled "yes, I was just informed,"

Me and Iruka got the letter then headed for the hidden mist village,

As we neared the village I could feel someone else's chakra from the trees above, there was about 4 ninja, I moved closer to Iruka and whispered "you can feel there chakra too, right?" He looked over at me and keeping a straight face as to not let them know we know there here, he took my hand in his, and squeezed it, we've been on missions before and that was something we did as a 'yes'

(Mist ninja's point of view)

We were assigned to watch and make sure the two hidden leaf ninja came alone and weren't plotting anything,

We saw one of the two who was wearing a mask that went up to his nose and his forehead protecter covering one of his eye, leaned in and whispered something in the others ear to witch the other took his hand in his, the one that had took the others hand looked the other in the eye then looked back to were they were heading,

There hands were locked together the hole time until they got near the gates to witch they let go, then walked to the gates and talked to the guards, giving them the letter now are mission was to make sure they got back safely,

Half way a group of 6 rouge ninja attacked them asking about the scroll to only find out it was in the village and there lead had made a mistake but that didn't stop them from wanting nobody to know that they were there, we sent someone back to get more Ninja to help. The rouges went for the one with the mask first, to witch he easily blocked the attack, then went for the other one, that didn't go well with the silver haired one, it looked like they didn't need are help, they both were strong yet smart with there moves, we didn't have to do anything...

Soon the fight was over with the hidden leaf ninja winning, we had to scoop in to take the bodies as the two ninja left,

(Iruka's point of view)

After the mission with Kakashi was over it was 5PM, me and Kakashi turned in a report then walked home together, after talking a bit we ate dinner like we always did,

Me and Kakashi where very close and often times slept in the same bed, for some reason kakashi was shirtless most of the time ;)
(why am I like this?)

After dinner Kakashi and I went to the place we met and sat and talked, it was 7PM now, Kakashi turned to me and looked at me, he pulled up his forehead protector and asked "Iruka do you like me as a friend?" I looked at him confused, I wanted to say I loved him at that moment but I couldn't not at the risk of what we had "of curse I do, why?" Kakashi sighed and locked one of are hand together, pulling me to him in a hug with his other, I hugged him back as he laid his head on my shoulder

"thank you for everything," I heard him whisper as I closed my eyes and savored this moment.
