Chapter 9: The amusement park

Aella POV

Monday 7:30 AM

Ugh it’s morning already, great and it’s a school day, what time is it already? “AHHH!!! IT’S 7:30 ALREADY?!” “I’M GOING TO BE LATE!!” I screamed loudly enough to wake up Novalia “Aella, what’s the matter?” asked Novalia “Novalia I’m going to be late!!” I screamed “what?” she said confused. I prepare my school uniform and rush to the shower “Umm…Aella” mumbled Novalia “sorry can’t talk now!” I rush over to where my school uniform is and changed “err…Aella school is suspended today” said Novalia scratching her head.

“Oh…yeah I forgot….” I said “well I’ll just change to more casual clothes” I wore just a normal Camila Cabello t-shirt and shorts. I was about at the stairs when I noticed Novalia following me “Hey Novalia why are you following me?” I asked, “you know that my parents are there right?” “God Aella you’re so forgetful!” she said while smiling smugly “your parents know me didn’t you remember last night you introduced me as your friend from London to your parents?” she reminded me “Oh whoops, I guess I’m sleep-deprived” I chuckled.
“whatever let’s just go get breakfast” she said while running down the stairs “Nova don’t run!” I shouted. “Oh, good morning Nova!” mom greeted her “morning miss Ellison!” she greeted back happily “what’s for breakfast mom?” I asked.  “Yum! Mom’s foods are delicious” I commented “waffles?” Novalia questioned “Hopefully, you don’t mind waffles Nova” she said, “oh no I don’t mind at all ma’am!” she said nervously while waving her hands.

Why can’t she be this polite around me, damn it. “Okay here’s your breakfast girls” she said placing our food down “Thanks ma’am” Nova thanked her “thanks mom” “you’re welcome girls” she said. While eating I feel my phone vibrate “Eh?” I pick up my phone and see Coral text me “AELLA, REMEMBER NO PHONES ALLOWED IN THE TABLE!” she shouted smacking my hand “sorry mom, Coral texted me!” I answer back “You can check that out later” she instructed “Okay mom”.

I look over to Novalia and I see her smiling smugly “anyways ma’am thanks for the breakfast I’ll go take a bath now!” “sure dear” she said while picking up the plates “Aella, please wash the dishes” mom asked “Sure”.

A few moments later

I go up in my room and see Novalia about to jump off the window “Novalia, what are you doing?” I asked “oh, I’m going to my spaceship need to pick up more clothes” she explained “Well, I’ll be back later”. Novalia jumped down and sped away to a field near the mountains, well not near but a somewhere near an old farm where no one really visits and that’s where we hid her spaceship. Wait a minute, why did she come here by a spaceship, I’ll ask her later.

Wait…. HOLY FRICK! I forgot about Coral’s text! I pick up my phone and read the text she sent so she wants to go to that carnival, I’ll ask my mom but first I need to apologize to her

Aella: AHH!! SORRY CORAL I FORGOT TO CHECK MY TEXT; I’M NOT REALLY ALLOWED TO HAVE PHONES DURING TIMES WE EAT!
Coral: about time you text back geez!

Coral: anyways, u comin?
Aella: I haven’t asked my mom yet; I mean we’re going to the carnival at night you know how my mom is
Coral: I guess so, don’t worry it’s not just us girls the boys will be coming too!
Aella: Well that makes the situation worse…
Coral: what, why?
Aella: Mom and boys, I dunno If she’s gonna allow me now!
Coral: Awe. It’s okay
Aella: I haven’t even asked yet!
Coral: Okay text me back!

“what’cha guys talkin’ bout’?” a voice asked I flinched, fell off my bed, and saw it was Novalia “Nova, it’s just you” I said “Yep! So, what’cha guys talkin about?” she asked again “Nothing just about a carnival that came to town” I said “carnival?” she asked with a confused look “oh it’s like full of rides, games, and maybe there’s a haunted house” “Err….” She looked confused.
