We finished our breakfast and immediately go back on our suite to prepare our things. Mamayang hapon ang alis namin pabalik ng Manila ngunit nagpaalam ako kay Dria na tutungo muna ako sa Batangas to pay a visit to my parents.
Batangas is our hometown, as to what my parents told me. We have our own resort kaya doon sila namamalagi dahil gusto nilang matutukan ito at masigurong maayos ang kanilang pagpapatakbo dito, also they are planning to expand the resort and turn it to an exclusive one.
"Check on it, Trin!" ani Dria nang tumunog ang doorbell
"Wait up!"
I opened the door and got surprised by the presence of our visitor, he should be busy! Well, maybe he's just dropping by.
"Gio! Come in!" as I open the door widely
"Hi Gio!" bati ni Dria na kasalukuyang abala sa paga-ayos ng gamit
"Uuwi na kayo?" si Gio nang mapansin ang mga kalat naming gamit
I glanced at him "Mamayang hapon. Why?"
"Just want to check on you" he simply said
"Ayos lang ako, don't worry." I replied
"I'm sorry for letting you go alone-" pagtutukoy sa nangyari kagabi
"Ano ka ba, it's not your fault. Ayos lang talaga!" pangungumbinsi ko
"No, Trin. Let me make it up to you."
"Gio, unahin mo yung mga guest mo. Come on, it's your birthweek!" I laughed
"I'll come with you in Manila." pilit ni Gio
"No, I'm not going to Manila. Si Dria lang ang babalik ng Manila. I'll go first to Batangas."
"Then, ihahatid kita sa Batangas."
Ilang minuto pang pilitan ang naganap bago ako nakumbinsi ni Gio na ihatid, aniya gusto niyang bumawi kahit hindi naman kailangan. He doesn't even have any obligations to me. He's just too nice to do it.
We had our late lunch after we finished packing our things earlier. We are currently at the hotel's counter, returning our key cards to the receptionist to check out.
We went out of the hotel, agad naman nagpaalam si Dria nang makitang nariyan na ang van na maghahatid sakanya sa nearest helipad. Hindi bakante ang helipad ng hotel due to some reasons. She also needs to be in Manila immediately, that's why she's riding a copter. Sinabi ko sakanya na puwede naman kay Gio nalang siya magpahatid at sumabay sa amin ngunit agaran din ang pagtanggi niya.
"It's out of the way, Trin! Hassle pa kay Gio, and I don't want to ruin someone's quality time." she grinned at me
I don't get what she said. Kaya ipinagkibit-balikat ko nalang iyon.
"Take care, Chandria. Text me when you land." I kissed her cheek
"It's Dria, Trin! You too, have a safe ride." she grinned again
She then gazed at Gio "Drive safely, Gio." nagtaas-baba siya ng kilay as if implying something.
What's with her grin?
"Let's go, baka gabihin tayo." Gio spoke after the van went off
"Yeah" I followed him and slid inside his car when we reached it
I told him the address and he quickly put it on the maps to track the location. It isn't that far from here, siguro ay isang oras lang ang layo kaya hindi kami gaano gagabihin sa daan.
Naging tahimik ang aming byahe, hindi ko rin naman alam kung ano ang dapat namin pag-usapan. Kaya minabuti kong manahimik nalang.
Gio and I were not that really close, but I can tell that he's one of those few people that I think I can trust in our industry. He's never been bad to me ever since we got introduced to each other. Isa siya sa pinakasikat na modelo sa bansa but his feet remains on the ground regardless of his success.
