"Trent!" Rosie called down the busy corridor, spotting the head of her boyfriend from a distance.
He was with his friends, they were all a bit weird to be honest. Into War Hammer and Yu-gio and such.
Trent turned around, leaving his friends to make his way over to Rosie. "Ros, hey!" He greeted her. She tried her best not to cringe at the use of that God-awful nickname.
"Trent listen," straight down to business. Just do it! "We... We need to talk."
Kate had convinced her to dump him. After all, the last time they actually talked was two days ago, by text. Why were they still going out?
"Yeah sure, what's up?" He popped the 'p' on up which just made her cringe even more. Just get on with it girl!
Rosie pulled him off to one side of the corridor so she could speak to him privately. "Listen Trent, I've been thinking, and we don't really work any more. I mean when do we even talk?"
Rosie could see he was trying his best not to look hurt, and it made her sad. She really didn't want to do this but to be fair she didn't have much of a choice. Katie could be very persuasive sometimes.
"So... Your- your um.. Breaking up with me?"
Jesus why was this so hard.
"Oh Trent." She said sympathetically, pulling him into a big hug. "You'll still be my boyfriend, but maybe just a boy that happens to be a friend."
That didn't make any sense but it didn't really matter, he still got the point. The sharp times of the bell rang out through the halls.
"Right um... Well I have to go. I'll um... Yeah bye." Trent turned and left, obviously upset. God she felt so bad! Did she really have to dump him? I mean, surely if she went after him now she could make it better again? However she was stopped from doing such a thing when that voice appeared out of nowhere again in the newly deserted halls.
"Back to class, Miss Whitshaw."
A slow shiver ran down her spine as she turned and headed for her next class, trying desperately not look at him and wonder why he used her last name.
(A/n hi so I'm not going to delete I don't think and I might continue on a bit more but the updates won't be regular sorry!
