Rosie did her first piece of homework that night. She'd written over 200 words in attempt to try and impress Mr. Cumberbatch. Maybe she could convince him that she wasn't normally like she was earlier today.

She shared a two bedroom apartment with one of her best friends, Kate, who was out with her boyfriend at the moment. Rosie was only 17, which is quite a young age to be living by herself, but as soon as she had gotten the opportunity to move away from her parents, she did so without a second thought.

"Katie!" Rosie shouted down the busy corridor as she spotted the red head on her was to class.

Kate smiled at her and waited so she could catch up before giving her a big hug.

"Where were you last night?" Rosie asked.

"Robbie took me out to the cinema," she explained as they turned into the History room, taking their seats at the back.

"I wish Trent was like that. I barely see him anymore. We might as well just split up." Trent was Rosie's sorry excuse for a boyfriend. To be completely honest, he was a dick. She couldn't even remember why she had said yes to him when he asked her out.

"I don't see why you don't. It's not like you actually care about each other."

"Yeah, but, I don't know. I kinda feel sorry for him. I mean, he's a bit of a loser isn't he?"

Katie laughed. "Well, I wasn't gonna say anything, but, now you mention it..."

Rosie laughed too. "Shut up!" She giggled and playfully hit Kate's arm. "He might be a loser, but he's still my boyfriend."

At that point the History teacher walked in, silencing them as he stated the lesson.
