(Your POV)

Laying against a brick wall, and knowing your last breath is coming can really make you desperate. You begin to wonder why you trusted people, if the world was ever really worth living in, & if you're really meant to go out like this. It may seem a bit confusing for me to talk like this, but I am currently on death's door. So these are the things crossing my mind, so please bear with me. Ok...then back to the point. Agony, that's what I remember most clearly, the gaping slash in my neck, and the pain that came with it. I guess I should have known better than to trust (R/N), I knew I shouldn't have but, why did I? Was I just lonely, and did I hope they would solve that? I had to have been desperate! As these thoughts crossed my mind, the already dimly lit alleyway, was becoming darker, and anything I could hear before was fading away. I couldn't feel anything, and I was trying to stay awake and alive, but to no avail. I eventually began to realise this was it, and nothing was going to change this, so I eventually let my eyes closed, and waited for my demise. But, even with my sense of touch fading along with everything else I felt something soft touch my skin. My eyes opened as my adrenaline kick back up revealing blotches of color in the dim alley. I coughed, blood flying from my lips, as I wondered who the person in front of me was. "Your will to live is strong," the person in front of me spoke, his voice was smooth,"Do you want to go on living?"
I tried to suck in a breath only to choke on more of my own blood. I wanted to live, but- how could he help me? He had to be human too right? My senses all seemed to fail at once, and I fell into darkness.

(???'s POV)

I watched her sputter on her last breath. Her eyes looked confused, but she seemed to want to live. Even when her eyes went to glass from the grip of death, I could still see her urge to keep going. I sighed, I knew for a fact that my pride wouldn't approve, but they had disowned me a long time ago. "Why should I care about their opinion?" I asked myself aloud,"I don't have a pride anymore, so it shouldn't matter."
I shook my head, "Stop wasting time Leo," I growled out,"She's going to be too far gone if you wait any longer!"
I looked around, and listened. The fact that there were no other humans around made life easier. It meant that bringing her back would be easy, and that I wouldn't be hunted on sight. I could hardly blame humans for their hatred towards creatures like me. After all it was creatures like us who ate them for food. I took one more breath before letting my human guise drop half way. The bronze brown hair of my human form turned to more copper in color and was now a mixture of fur and feathers. I was ever so slightly taller than I had been, now standing at what I could guess was about 8 ft in height. And now my human features were in part, gone, being replaced by things like paws, and talons. I took in a breath, and let out a loud screech, as I watched her wounds close. I payed close attention to her chest, I needed to make sure I hadn't taken too long. It was when I saw her first weak breath that I sighed in relief. That was when I wondered, why I was drawn to her? She wasn't anything special, just a normal human, but I saved her anyway. I returned to my human form, and scanned her now, sleeping form. She had (E/C) eyes, (H/L) (H/C) hair, and she looked delicate. It was while I was trying to find a reason by looking at her that I blushed. "Damn it No!" I scolded myself,"Trying to find an answer to that question, this way, is creepy! Just take her back with you!"

I carefully picked her up, and began to carry her home, with that one question still rattling around in my brain. Why did I give this human a second chance?
