I wrote this on December 3, 2010. 13 years old. Just sitting in school one day.

I take this road

You ask me, "Why

Do you take this road

With efforts high

The difficult road

You always choos

Where along the way

You just might lose"

You don't understand

Obviously, you don't see

The way that it looks

How it is for me

You ask why I choose

When I've all of these loads

But why do you assume

That I see two roads

If you take shortcuts

You'll just get cut short

It never pays off

It never is first resort

The long way is worth it

I promise you that

Wherever it takes you

Wherever you're at

You can't tell me otherwise

For I know this is true

My only hope is

I get this word into you

You can't put me down

You cannot make me fall

While I may be weak

I will stay standing tall

Through all that I suffer

Everything I endure

For the pain that I feel

There is no known cure

When you've an amazing best friend

Along, the cure will come, soon

Don't tell me the sky's the limit

When there are footprints on the moon.
