Merida, Hiccup, Jack and Rapunzel all had a joint wedding, down to lots of persuasion from Rapunzel. They became fantastic at their job as guardians and didn't let any season down, ever. Mord'u was gone forever, but when they came to defeating an even bigger enemy, Pitch, it wasn't so easy to defeat him. In the end they managed it, but it was a near miss. They certainly knew they were powerful enough, but it was tough.
Because they were guardians too, none of them aged. They remained exactly how they looked when they were nineteen. None of them grew tired of each other. On the contrary, they were constantly reminded of how lucky they were, every day.
