Chapter 2

"What do you mean?"

I was shocked, why I am in his arms? Ang bilis ng pangyayare, yumuko lang ako para kunin yung libro pero ngayon akbay-akbay na ako ng lalaking hindi ko kilala. I mean I've seen him before sa fastfood, but I don't even know him, not even his name. I can't move, nakatayo lang ako sa tabi nung guy habang nasa balikat ko ang braso niya. The girl was just there, standing in front of us, covering her face while crying.

"Ace, if you think this can help you, I'm telling you it's not." anang babae at malamyang tumingin sakin.

They are the same couple in the fastfood last Friday. Hindi ko nakita ang itsura nung babae noon pero ngayong nasa harap ko siya ay kitang-kita ko ang amamo niyang mukha , her heart shape face was fair and smooth, she has few strands of bangs that makes her cute in her long straight hair, her nose were pointed but redish because she was crying, her eyes were round and swollen but it was perfectly combined by her long lashes. She's wearing a gray and white school uniform –pamilyar sakin ang unipormeng iyon, it's from a private university near our campus.

I was about to explain my side when the girl immediately run and left the scene. I suddenly turned my gaze to the guy beside me. Wala na sa balikat ko ang braso niya –he was looking in the ceiling, playing his tongue on the inside of his cheeks while his left hand was inside his pocket.

He acts as if nothing happens... wow just wow! I keep glaring at him finding a perfect curse to blow until his eyes turned down and met mine.

"May itatanong ka?" he asked, stating the obvious.

"Meron. Marami." mariin kong sabi dito.

I have questions. Why did he drag me in this? Who is him? And why did he do that? To that girl.

Humarap siya sakin bahagyang yumuko at binaba ang ulo niya hanggang mag-tapat ang mukha naming dalawa. He stared at me while pouting his lips, as if he was examining my whole damn face. I blinked twice, amoy na amoy ko ang panlalaking pabango niya nang mas ilapit nito ang mukha sakin, his scent was so nice that I forgot how to react.

"Like what?" his lips was an inch close to mine, I can smell his minty fresh breath.

I was left dumbfounded. I don't know what to say, I have many questions prepare in my head, but it flushes away by his presence. Nahalata niya sigurong hindi ako kumportable kaya't umayos ito nang tayo sa gilid ko, nakapamulsa't nakatingin sa kawalan. In this position, I can perfectly seen his sharp nose and define jawline –I admit his side profile was good.

"I'm sorry to dragged you here. You're the first girl I saw so, I grabbed you." pagpapaliwanag ng lalaki.

Fuck.Why am I like this? Hindi ako makapag-salita, I'm out of words. It's the same feels during our recitation. Wala akong masagot.

"By the way, thank you. You saved me today." patuloy nito at lumingon na sakin. "I'm Ace Escudero."

He lent his hands in front of me, initiating a handshake. Honestly, ngayon ko lang siya natitigan ng maayos. He's tall probably 5'10 in height, chinito at maputi, matangos ang ilong at pinkish ang labi. His hair were blonde and kinda long for a student, he's wearing a gray slacks, white polo with a logo on the side and a black leather shoes. He still has his white headphone on his shoulders, I think he's also a seniorhighschool –HUMSS, I assumed because that was perfectly printed in his blue colored ID lace. Nakatitig lang ako sa kamay niya. I don't want to be rude but I can't take it. Hindi ko gusto ko ang pagkikita namin.
