Chapter 7

*Kylo's POV*

I lean my body against the island. I forgot Matthew is there until he speaks.

"You know, even though at the time you were not thinking straight, something good is going to come out of this soon enough. Be patient Kylo. I have faith and so should you." He finishes.

I nod

"Thank you matthew. Don't hesitate to come over anytime. I would love to cook for you guys" I say just as my sister comes down the stairs.

"She's in the shower. Give her some space. Shes going to stay in one the guest rooms tonight. Tomorrow you start fresh okay? I'll be here early tomorrow morning before she wakes up." I go to my sister and kiss the top of her head.

"Thank you Mia. I love you." She smiles and hugs me.

"I love you too. Now goodnight" she says turning to leave. Once they're gone I turn to clean up the kitchen. I decide ill do it tomorrow and turn to go upstairs. Just as im walking to my room she comes out of the guest bathroom. In my clothes. My breathing stops for a second and I admire how fucking sex---- good she looks in my clothes. I stare for a good second before she notices im there. She stops in her tracks and nervously looks down at the floor. Her hair is wet and dripd off the ends of her coils onto the floor. My shirt shes wearing goes down to the tops of her knees. I dart my eyes to the floor.

"I-Im sorry. Do you know where the guest room is" I say feeling hot. She grins but tries not to show it.

"Yes im okay. Im tired. Goodnight" she says and quickly turns to walk away. I call out for her to wait and she stops.

"Im sorry. I never got your name" I say.

"Leone. " she says and turns to leave. I smile and say it quietly to my self.

"Leone" i say under my breath. I love it. I make my way back into my room but leave the door open so she can find me when she needs me. I lay down and close my eyes. Im smiling. Her face is printed in my mind. She was the last thing I though about before I fell asleep.

-3AM-

My chest hurts. I sit up and rub it. Another stinging pain. I hiss and stand up. Making my way to the bathroom to examine my chest. There's nothing there. There it goes again. What is wrong with me??

Mate

I run to the guest room and sure enough there she is. Shes still sleep. Shes having a nightmare. Shes shifting in her sleep and her breathing is heavy. I hesitate to touch her. She needs me though.

I touch her cheek. I run my hand over her soft cheeks, moving a hair away from her face. She doesn't wake up but her breathing seems to go back to normal. She stopped moving and relaxed under my touch. I have the biggest smile on my face. Her body is accepting the mate bond. I decide to leave before she wakes. I halt at the door and take one last look at her. I close the door softly behind me and go back to my room returning to sleep

-next morning-

I wake up before her to cook breakfast for her and my sister plus Matthew. In the middle of making breakfast she comes down the stairs. Shes still wearing my shirt. I can tell shes shy by the way she fiddles with her hands. Her hair goes all the way down to her waist and I love it.

She sits down at the island and looks up at me.

"Good morning. Im almost finished with breakfast" i say stirring the eggs. She nods.

"Good morning. Im starved." She says staring at the bacon. My sister arrives just in time. She comes in and of course the first thing she does is go to my pantry.

"Good morning dearest brother. Good morning....." She say trailing off.

"Leone" she says with a slight smile.

"Good morning Leone."

"Good morning" Matthew says trailing in after Mia.

"You need more food" she says grabbing my bag of goldfish and pouring a large handful.

"Yea I wonder why" i say under my breath.

"I heard that punk. Im pregnant okay?" she says still rummaging through my pantry.

"That's her excuse for everything now" Matthew whispers to Leone. She laughs and its like music to my ears. I smile ear to ear and look at her. Her smile is beautiful.

Leone points to my sister and giggles.

"Did you just put goldfish in your pocket?" She laughs talking to Mia.

"Yes mam. Its for later" she says with an already stuffed mouth.

"That's my mate" Matthew says admiring her with the biggest smile. She kisses his cheek leaving crumbs behind.

"Breakfast is ready." I say gathering plates. I make Leones for Her. After making everyone elses I take a seat besides Leone. She doesn't seem to notice and keeps eating. Shes almost done shifting. I can tell. Shes hungry. I was like that while shifting.

"This is amazing" Leone says looking at me. I smile.

"Thank you." I say and she smiles back.

"I agree. You outdid yourself" my sister says and Matthew agrees.

"Mhm" he says with a full mouth.

She finishes and brings her dishes to the sink and begins washing all the dishes I made. I go stand next to her and dry them as she rinses them. She glances at me and a small smile forms. She warming up to me. Its progress.
