The Locker room

Adora POV
Me and Catra just finished running suicides at the end of basketball practice.
"I think I beat you Adora." said Catra
"In your dreams" Said Adora playfully punching Catra shoulder
"Hey after we get cleaned up you wanna go hot cocoa at my house?" Said Catra
"Sure that sounds really good right now." Said Adora
They both start walking towards the locker room when. One of the girls stands in front of the locker room door blocking Catra's way into the locker room. "Hey slut where's you're girlfriend" Said the girl (everyone but Adora knows Catra likes Adora and has for the longest time.) Catra says "One she's not my girlfriend. Two if she was it would be none of your damn business." This makes the girl angry and she pushes Catra down to the gym floor.
During this Adora wonders where Catra went so she heads back to the gym to see a group of girls pushing Catra around. Adora says " Hey leave her alone!" They girls turn around to see Adora there star player and loved by everyone charging towards them. The girls say "S-Sorry A-Adora we were just messing around." Adora blood boiling says "Messing around! No you were picking on her! If I catch any of you looking at her in a mean way or lay a finger on her you'll be feeling that finger where the sun does not shine!" They girls start to back away saying "Y-yes Adora w-won't happen again" has they start to walk away they look at Catra and say "Your lucky she's around or you would be dead." They start to walk away and Adora helps Catra up.
They both walk to the locker room and start to laugh and giggle has they change and when there done they walk to Adora's car. "Hey Adora?" says Catra. "Yes?" Says Adora "well I wanted to thank you" she says mumbling. "What was that Catra you kinda mumbled there." Adora says and Catra is flustered and says "Thank you for helping me back there" "Of course Catra we made a promise a long time ago that we would stick together." Adora starts the car and starts to pull out of the school parking lot.
(No one knows this but ever since the 7th grade Adora has had a huge crush on Catra but she doesn't know how to tell her people always tell her that Catra obviously likes her but she doesn't know for sure she has had times where she gets lost on those blue and yellow eyes and Catra will say "take a picture it will last longer" making Adora blush cause she had no idea she was staring.) They are laughing and giggling when they pull up to Catra house.

Catra's POV
We pull into my drive way and in my head I'm praying that my mom and dad aren't home. When we come around the corner of my drive way I don't see they're cars and I breath a sigh of happiness. Me and Adora start walking towards the door I take out my key and unlock the door hoping my dad put away his bottles of alcohol.
Adora is looking at me with a worried look and says " Catra you okay?" I sigh and say " I'm great Adora let's go up to my room" we walk up the stairs and I close the door and me and Adora throw are backpacks in my room and we talk about sports.
We talk about are up coming game against are rival Brightmoon we both gag and laugh at the thought. Everyone says that Brightmoon is the best school for stuck up rich kids and they call us cheaters but in truth Brightmoon is the dirtiest school of them all.
We get bored so I look over at Adora think in my head 'her eyes are so beautiful I look at them forever' then I realize that Adora is blushing and I clear my throat flustered. "Adora you wanna go walk around my neighborhood?" Adora checks still red says "sure" we go out the front door and we start to get closer and closer to each other has we walk. My hand brushes against hers and she grabs it and holds it my brain explodes 'WE'RE HOLDING HANDS!!!!' Adora is avoiding my eyes and we stay holding hands.
(Time skip) 5 minutes
My phone starts to ring 'REALLY PHONE NOW!' I let go of her hand and groan has I grab my phone to see it's my mom tears start to form at the corner of my eyes. I pick it up saying "Hello?" My mom screams into my ear "GET YOUR SKINNY ASS BACK TO THE HOUSE AND TELL ADORA BYE CAUSE YOUR ABOUT TO GWT THE BEATING OF A LIFETIME!" I start to wimpier and say "okay mom" in a sad tone I look to see Adora worried look and I say "we gotta start heading back to the house my moms how she wants me backs so we can hangout" 'lie' I think to myself Adora sees right through it. She says " Are you gonna be okay?" I look scared but I say "phttt I'll be fine"

We walk into the house I say bye to Adora and she leaves even tho I really wanted her to say and have her protect me. My mom comes out of her room holding the punishment belt and starts to whip me and I cry getting bruises all over my arms and shoulder has I try to protect myself.

Adora's POV

I am half way to my house when I realize I left my backpack at Catra's house so I turn to go get it
Time skip 10 minutes
I hear crying and Catra's mom yelling I open the door slowly to see Catra on the floor cry being whipped she looks over to see me her eyes wide with shock probably thinking why am I here her mom is so focused on whipping her to hear the door open so I sneak behind her and I grab a glass vase and hit her in the head has hard has I can she falls to the grind unconscious I look at Catra tears in my eyes saying "grab everything your moving in with me."
