The start of the end

I wake up. My cold body shivers as my blanket fell off my bed in my sleep. I look at my clock and see the time.7:30? Wait... That means... I think to myself, I freeze. "Lizzy is going to kill me!" I shout as I jump out of bed and quickly change clothes. I brush my hair and teeth as fast as I could. No breakfast today Gaby... I think as I pick my bag up from the floor by the door. I rush to put on my shoes and run out the door on to the park. I stand there for a minute before I hear them. Lizzy and Kad are walking away! Oh and before I forget! I'm Gaby the main character and of course my best most close and only friends Lizzy and Kad. Now right back onto the story! I run over to them yelling "HEY GUYS WAIT UP!" I shout as they both turn to me, Kad with his dark brown eyes and short fluffy light brown hair and Lizzy with her bright green eyes and straight shiny long black hair. It's hard to think that they are brother and sister but they both came from the same mom and dad so that takes care of that. "Oh hey, Gabs." Kad says to me as I am trying to catch my breath. My short messy dark brown hair covers my face. "You guys walk too fast! Could you guys try to wait for me in the mornings!? And how many times do I have to say I hate the nickname Gabs!¨ I blush removing my hair from my face and letting my bright red eyes show. Nobody knows how I got red eyes but I think it's pretty damn cool! The only bad part about this is that people call me The Vampire because of my, not really snow-white but pale skin, dark brown-ish black-ish hair, red eyes, and skinny body. It's doesn't help that I always wear black and dark red. Oh well. "Gaby you really have to learn how to get to the park on time so we don't wait so long and risk being late for school." Lizzy says with her normal I'm disappointed in you Gaby tone. "My alarm is mean okay. It doesn't go off at the right time." I say trying to defend myself. "Or maybe you just ignore your alarm because you wanna sleep in... You really have to learn to stop staying up till midnight writing stories." Lizzy says still in the disappointed tone. I hate it when she is like this! She is so hard to level with. But that is my Lizzy for ya. About ten or so minutes later, we got to school. We walk in and go our different ways. I go to art class, Lizzy goes to robotics, and Kad heads over to band. You know just a normal Monday... well that's what I thought anyway... In art class, we are making plates for our family until the speaker comes on. A loud crackly voice comes from the speaker. "Dear students and staff! This is not a drill, I repeat this is not a drill! There is something or someone bad on school grounds! Lock the doors, turn off the lights, hide and try to stay very calm!" The speaker turns off as Mr.Hang runs to the door, locks it, and turns off the lights. "Okay class," Mr.Hang whispers "Head quietly to the back of the room." We all slowly stand up, quietly push in our chairs, and hide. About an hour passes. I'm very worried about Kad and Liz. The worst things are going in and out of my mind. Then we hear it, BAM! A huge knock from the door as a hand crashes through the door and grabs Mr.Hang by the neck and pulls him outside. ZOMBIES! Not only one but FOUR! I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Mr.Hang...being eaten...alive...by zombies...right in front of us. I look around and see some people crying and hugging. Some are watching in disbelief. I get up on my hands and knees to crawl to my bag that is on my chair. I grab my sharp scissors and brake them apart. I take a quiet deep breath and stand up. I look at my classmates and whisper. "Stay here and dont move.". I run out the door and stab two zombies in the head and stab the other two. At this point, my hands are shaking very bad and I feel that I'm about to pass out. Until I hear cheering. Are they cheering for me? I think to myself. I turn around to see them clapping for me but I quickly put my finger to my mouth as to tell them to be quite. "There might be more zombies so grab everything and anything sharp that u can to defend yourself. I'm sorry but I'm going to go alone and look for my friends. Please don't follow me, I don't want to think It's my fault you're dead. Now stay in the class or look for friends. Whatever you do just don't follow me!" I half-whisper, half yell before darting for Kad's band class. I head to him first because I know his band class was outside today. He can't be dead! Just because his class was outside today that doesn't mean he is dead! I think. As I run to the band area I see Kad look over at me with tears in his eyes as his classmates and teacher are dead on the floor. "Kad!" I run over to him. "Thank god you are okay! Are you hurt?! What happened?! Did the zombies do this?!" I'm talking so fast I dont really think he knows what im saying. "I'm fine and yes. I never thought I would say this but... yes...zombies... k-killed..." I could tell he was trying to hold back his tears. I hug him close to me. He barries his head into my right shoulder. "Come on we have to get your sister!" I could feel him slowly nodding and we run to Lizzy's class.
