LIZZY!!!!

Groans sprout from all around Kad and I. "I don't think it was just one zombie...!" I say. Kad hugs me in a tight grip and has no sign of letting go anytime. "Whatever happens. I'm going to protect you. I already lost Lizzy... AND I'M NOT GOING TO LOSE YOU!" I could feel his tears drip onto my head. My eyes widen from the sudden hug and what he has just said as I hug him back. The groans keep getting closer and closer. I don't know what we do?! Kad and I are standing in the middle of the robotics lab, Kad hugging me resting his head on mine. 

This is it.

We are going to die here.

At least we will die together and when we die, we will be with Lizzy, so I guess it will not be that bad... after being like this for a few minutes we hear a sound that fills us with hope and fear. Gunshots... The worst thing is that that is an armed zombie coming to kill us or it's an adult coming to save us. The gunshots distract the zombies. "Here this will make us go faster before the zombies come. We can outrun them like this." Before I could answer, Kad picks me up bridal style and runs out the door keeping me close to him. It's good that I'm small enough for him to do this. But I'm shocked he is this strong! When I first met him we were kids. He was the weakest person I knew but I guess people do change in ways. After some running, we find ourselves in the gym. Kad sets me on the stage. I sit there as he stands in front of me. We stare at each other for what feels like forever. Until he says something. "Im going to go get a bat for a weapon. I know it's a common zombie movie weapon but what are you gonna do? Sue me?" He jokes then kisses me on the head and of course before I could say anything he runs off to find a bat. I think that all of this shock must have done something to him. Like something randomly got him to treat me more close. Like I'm his girlfriend or something? The shock of seeing his sister dead must have made Protecting Kad Mode turn on. I brush off the thought that he likes me and then I feel in my pockets and look in my hands. My scissors are gone?! I must've dropped them when I saw Kad before we found Liz. "Damn it..." I whisper before getting off the stage and start looking around. I see a few dumbbells and try to pick them up. They are all way to heavy for me to pick up. I still look around until I realize... "Kad? Kad where are-?" Before I could finish talking I feel a cold hand lightly touch my neck. I thought it was a zombie until I turned around and slapped Kad in the face making him fall backward. "Im so sorry Kad. I thought you were a zombie ready to eat me." I say looking at Kad worried I hurt him bad. He looks at me and starts laughing. I'm thankful for the patted yoga mats he landed on. I look at him and take out my hand to help him up. "Im fine Gabs. Don't worry." Yeah sure. Like I'm not gonna worry. Geez.
