"Now that was a movie!" Irene said excitedly once the lights came back on. Her eyes were still on the screen that was rolling out the credits with bits of behind the scenes clips.

"There are different types of good movies, you know. The world will have quite a headache if every movie is an action or thriller." Wendy was trying to finish the popcorn. She put her hand in the large bucket.

Irene didn't even hear what Wendy was saying. She reached out for some popcorn and gasped when her hand grabbed Wendy's inside the bucket. She quickly pulled her hand out, blushing.

Wendy chuckled. She grabbed a handful of the snack and gave Irene the bucket. "Here. You can have the rest."

Irene quietly took the bucket, avoiding Wendy's eyes. Her heart was beating fast and her hand could still feel the smooth skin she accidentally touched a few seconds ago.

Wendy stood up to leave the theater with Irene close behind her. She turned her phone on and saw a missed call from him. She raised her eyebrows. She was about to send him a message when she felt Irene nudging her elbow. She turned her head to see the girl squirming.

"I need to go to the toilet. Be right back." Irene practically shoved the almost empty bucket in Wendy's hands and ran to the toilet.

She laughed when she realized what was happening. She put her phone in her pocket and reached inside the bucket, finishing the snack as she calmly made her way to follow Irene.

"Whew..." Irene sheepishly grinned when she got out of the packed area. "Let's go," she told Wendy who was waiting for her. "Where's the popcorn?" She noticed the missing bucket.

"Err... Sorry." Wendy grinned.

"Yah! You said I could finish it!"

"I'm sorry! You took so long and I had nothing to do."

Irene sulked. "You owe me popcorn." She pointed her finger at Wendy.

She laughed. "How about if I make it up to you with a macchiato?" Wendy grabbed Irene's finger, surprising the latter.

Irene inhaled sharply. She pulled her finger free from Wendy's grip. "It's a bit late for coffee, don't you think?" She made a turn, heading towards the exit.

"Never too late for coffee," Wendy calmly said, walking next to Irene with a small smile on her face. That night had turned out better than she expected. She knew that her plan was coming along smoothly. "Milk tea?"

Irene shook her head. "I'm taking a break. My stomach needs to recover." She patted her stomach.

Wendy chuckled. "That's what you get for drinking so much in such a short span of time."

Irene said nothing.

They made their way out of the mall, walking towards the car park.

"So how can I make it up to you?" Wendy asked.

Irene furrowed her brows, thinking. "How 'bout you buy me that macchiato tomorrow?"

"Breakfast or lunch?"

"Brunch." Irene smiled. "I like to wake up late on Saturdays."
