Chapter 6 : Vacation

It's been one month since that faithful day where I found out my boyfriend was cheating on me and found out that Charlie's invisibility can be broken just by one touch. The family and I are going on vacation to our summer cabin, my Father and his new girlfriend Christina are coming and Charlie wanted to tag along my father said that it was alright. So we headed off to the cabin we haven't been here in a couple years so I'm sure the place will need a bit of work. Luckily my Father came prepared he brought his tools and everything we needed just in case. On the car ride there Charlie and I were playing I Spy, (we got bored so what). Then my Dad and Christina joined in, the game became very interesting when they joined lets just say the game was no longer PG-13 when they joined in. We continued to play that game the whole ride there, when got there I could tell the place definitely needed work the roof was in horrible shape the porch didn't look that great either and it looked like the old fishing dock caved in at the end.

"So much for having a little family vacation looks like I'm gonna be working the whole time we are here" my Father said

"Don't worry sweetie I can help" Christina said

"Yeah and Charlie an I can help to isn't that right Charlie" I said with a smirk

Charlie just nods, as Christina just laughs. I told her the first time I met her about Charlie and my "Gift" she surprisingly didn't freak out or leave she was actually quite interested in the whole situation. I like her she is a pretty cool person and she really likes my Dad to so that's a plus.

We all head inside and the place still looks the same as when we left it. The inside looks so much better then the outside, there isn't much work that needs to be done on the inside. Just a few holes to patch up and a couple windows to fix that's it. We unpack then make a list of everything we need to get to fix this place up and head off to the hardware store. Charlie stayed behind he wanted to walk around and check out the property and what not. So Christina my Father and I left and when we got there my Father ran into some friends and got to talking. Christina and I went in the hardware store and got what we needed while my father talked to his friends.

"Is this all that we need?" she asked

"Yeah looks like we got everything on the list" I said

"Ok well is there anything else we should get, Like new paint or anything?" she asked

I look at Dad who isn't paying attention at all he's to busy with his friends to even notice us, then I look back at Christina and smile.

"I got Dad's credit card" I said smiling

"Alright then what colors we going to get? I'm thinking a rustic brown for the exterior and a light Tan for the trimming" she says

"That sounds perfect" I said

"Then how about a Country Brown for the interior with like a Twilight grey for the trimmings?" I asked

"You have an amazing taste in colors" she says laughing

I couldn't tell if she was serious or if she wasn't being serious, either way accepted the compliment.

"Thank you" I said

We pay for the items we got and head back out to the car. Dad didn't even see us walk back to the car, so when we got all the easy stuff loaded into the car I went back an asked him to help get all the wood tied down to the roof of the car. Now would have been the perfect moment for my truck, but I didn't feel like brining my truck along this time.

"Alright guys I'll see ya around" my Father said waving to his buddies

"You have fun?" Christina asked my Father
